Is Barack O-Bombing?

It sure seems like it. The past month has been devastatingly bad for the inexperienced junior Senator and street organizer from Chicago. John McCain’s ads have been on the money, including today’s newest one. (“Celebrities don’t have to worry about family budgets“)

The most astounding thing to me is The Messiah’s meteoric fall from his survey heights since before his ill-fated trip to Europe. I said then that the Emporer had no clothes. Looks like America is beginning to realize it.

Do Obama’s Sinking Poll Numbers Signal History Repeating for Democrats – Zogby.com

Just as party leaders pack their bags for Denver, our latest Reuters/Zogby poll finds their nominee in some trouble, as Republican John McCain has taken a five-point lead over Barack Obama. That is a 12-point reversal from the survey we took for Reuters in July. Interestingly, Obama’s margins among what had been his strongest demographic groups dropped by as much as 12 points. These include Democrats, women, city dwellers and younger voters – those ages 25-34. Also, Obama has lost his lead among the swing Catholic vote, dropping 11 points to McCain over a month.

What is happening is all too familiar to Democrats. McCain is using the Karl Rove playbook, attacking Obama’s perceived strengths, notably his mass appeal and freshness. Democrats hoped that eight years of a failed Bush presidency (80% in our latest survey said the nation was on the wrong track) so diminished the GOP brand that “going negative” would not work again for the Republicans.

In the end, it may not. Negative campaigning did not work on either side of the aisle in the primaries and caucuses. However, clearly McCain has been the aggressor for the past month, seeing an opportunity to define Obama for General Election voters before Obama could define himself. At times, it has seemed like he has been the only one throwing any punches, especially with Obama on vacation in Hawaii.

The more people get to know Senator Obama, the less impressive he is, the less experienced he shows himself to be, and the more shady his former friends turn out to be.

The question isn’t how many houses Cindy McCain owns… the question is how many houses Obama pal William Ayers tried to blow up; or how many houses the Obama’s got from a convicted felon.

Bring it on, Barry. America has figured out that there is no “there” there.

  1. It’s fun to watch the Left myth-creation machine at work. The new myth: McCain, whom Obama supporters call racist with zero justification and impugn in pathetic, ridiculous ways, is “the aggressor” for making Obama’s poll numbers drop.

What is McCain supposed to do – pack up and go home? Not try to convince people to vote for himself? Concede the election?

Obama is the one who associated with nasty people like with Wright, Pfleger, Rezko and Ayers. Obama is the one who can’t think or talk without a teleprompter, and whose wife has never managed to be proud of America (until and unless it meets her demands for validation by electing her husband President). McCain is just the messenger.

  2. P.S. I love how “Wright! Pfleger! Rezko! Ayers!” rolls off the tongue, like a hex in a movie :-)

  3. The best way to see how disappointing Obama is, is to speak with a liberal who doesn’t know you are a conservative. I was chatting with a lib last night and mentioned how I’m disappointed in O, and he agreed with me. When a liberal doesn’t know your political affiliation they automatically assume you’re liberal because you’re gay. Therefore, their defenses are not up and you can find out what’s truly going on.

  4. I think its funny they jumped on McCain for not knowing how many houses he has, which honestly…I am sure he if was one short it would have been an even bigger deal, but Obama didn’t know how many states there were…

    Which is worse, I wonder…

  5. Poof he’s gone. Obama is starting to sound shrill as well. As his base urges him to get mean and “fight back”. It is truly becoming funny. Remember they say, Kerry didn’t fight back, he tried to be too nice and too cerebrial. BHO got himself in this box cos he is suppose to be different, not be mean, not be a polititian, not go negative. He is losing support with, believe it or not, young people because he has no specifics, and he is attacking McCain!!! If you were BHO’s campaign how would you get him out of this box? Today he has resorted to complaining about how many houses Mac and Cindy have. This from the man who just got off a vacation to a mansion in Hawaii who “wants to talk abot the issues!” This is too funny. The public is also aware that Barack didn’t want more than 3 scripted debates. A few weeks ago they were wondering why…..well I think the public knows now why BHO prefered less debates. POOF hehe

  6. Related to #4–

Poor Barry thinks there are 57 States in the USA that he visited during the primary campaign in 2008. He’s just confused with the 57 member states of the Islamic Federation. (Look it up)

Just a harmless freudian slip from the former Trinity Church member, no doubt.

  7. The “houses” issue just goes to show how desperate the O’bama clan is getting as his popularity declines.

I think McCain doesn’t know because he trust his wife and family to take care of family business while he does “his duly elected job”.

I agree if he had given a incorrect number they would have accused him of being “out of touch” and also “old and unable to recall”.

Watching him at Saddleback had to put the fear of God in each of his team. McCain was sharp and concise.

I can’t imagine anyone wanting to be his running partner.

    Lord help us all.

  9. #4: “I think its funny they jumped on McCain for not knowing how many houses he has…”

I thank sweet Jesus above that I live in a country where the prosperity and wealth is so abundant and unrestrained that it’s entirely possible for at least 90% of us to forget how successful and well-off we actually are. The Obama-zombies who are criticizing McCain about this have it all wrong. The fact that McCain can’t unequivocally list every piece of real estate he has an interest in off the top of his head doesn’t mean he’s out of touch–it means he understands that in America, nobody needs to have a prepared excuse if they are rudely asked to catalogue their wealth. The fact is, it’s not shockingly rare for people in this country to have several homes, a fleet of cars, a walk-in closet full of expensive suits, or hundreds of dollars in cash in their wallet at any given moment–thus, it’s nothing to be ashamed of or feel guilty about. And it’s certainly nothing that McCain or anyone else should have to have a “prepared answer” for. Yes, the McCains have a lot of money–but so do millions and millions of other people in this country. There’s so much wealth in the US that even as rich as the McCains are, there are 1000s and 1000s of other families who would look at their bank accounts and think they’re destitute white trash. God bless America!

And meanwhile, Obama want to raise my taxes to make sure that I NEVER lose track of what I have, or God forbid have a house as big as the one he lives in. Who the hell would vote for someone with such an awful, warped vision of “prosperity”–the kind where everyone (except the elites like Barack and Michelle, of course) can’t expect anything more than what everyone else gets to have. Screw that.

  10. I love it. Obama is making himself look very ugly and very angry. You cant have it both ways Barry. You cant be the messiah ushering in a new age of post partisan Hope(tm) and Change(tm) and also put out attack ads trying to insinuate Mccain is senile. (btw, someone needs to put out a conglomeration of all the times Democrats have attacked McCains age — seniors are the biggest voting block there is)

And yesterday he was caught on mic talking about how much better communist China is than American.

Oh, and has everyone seen the new Obama music video with Hollywood celebrities praying to their messiah?

Talk about a gift to Republicans! The Obama campaign is IMPLODING.

  11. Want to really make an Obama supporter’s head explode?

Ask them why, if Barack Obama believes the rich (anyone making over $250k) should pay more in income taxes, why he and his wife, BOTH of whom make more than that, have paid the bare minimum each year, nothing extra.

Or, in other words, why he wants to force others to do what he refuses to do himself.

  12. NDT, I’ll have to remember that. That is an interesting question.

If a supporter of high taxes really wanted to pay high taxes, or to contribute more to the community, or whatever, they would do it on their own. What they really want is for Mommy and Daddy (the State) to punish people who commit the ‘sin’ of having more than they. It’s just envy, dressed up as righteousness.

  13. #10 Bill Clinton has been saying the same things. “Hey Hillary and I got a huge tax cut under the Bush plan. We’re gettin rich and we didn’t need it yukyukyuk. ” But neither he nor Hills ever sent in all those extra dollars they supposedly felt so guilty about having.

  14. And honestly, how was he suppose to answer that question? I guess he should have said none and that his wife owns them all…at least he could get into something about women’s empowerment and get more of those middle aged woman pissed off with Hillary losing. Dems are suppose to love stories of successful women…only if they aren’t Republicans.
