For the record, I have no idea if this was one of the comments on McCain in Obama’s speech that turned listeners off… but it’s a strong candidate:

You know, John McCain likes to say that he’ll follow bin Laden to the gates of Hell. But he won’t even follow him to the cave where he lives.

The Dems roared their approval, per Beldar. But isn’t it pathetically immature and dumb? What’s coming next? “You know, John McCain is a big weenie and likes girls with cooties”?

Rush was saying this morning how many people didn’t like Obama’s speech. He related a tale of Andrea Mitchell’s. Mitchell told of getting room service at her hotel, asking the room service person what the latter thought, and the person saying “I didn’t like what Obama said about McCain. Obama was mean.” Also, Rush heard that the Civil Rights types were disappointed there was no mention of Martin Luther King. Etc.

Obama did the same head flip in his Berlin speech — I think he loses track of the prompter if he pauses to look or speak to the center of the crowd.

At the time I asked if he was speaking or watching Wimbledon.
