Thanks, Dan. I have printed this out and will keep it handy. I have dealings with gays with an agenda and straights with an agenda regarding gays. I have spent a lot of time asking both of these types to consider the task at hand without concern for his own or someone else’s sexuality. Your nicely crafted posting will be of great use to me. Now if you can provide guidance on how to divert gay bashers and gay activists……….

Life is full of ironys. The Jewish counterpart to the Anglo Saxon saying is: While people make plans, God laughs.

Go to Minneapolis as yourself, yes you will be the gay blogger. First of all, many people won’t care - they will be interested in you as a person. Second of all, you probably will come across that section of the Republican party who does have issues with homosexuality. Comport yourself proudly, and who knows, maybe you will crack a chink in their ideas of what a gay man is like.

Thanks, GPW. I enjoyed reading that old post and I couldn’t agree more. My partner and I attend gatherings at times and feel no need to express that we are gay. I admit that sometimes we feel like the token gay couple invited to the event, but what the hay. I spend very little energy being concerned about my sexuality……that’s just the way it is.
