Clint, what did this representative say? I know it’s been reported that McCain does oppose gay marriage, and that, while he doesn’t support a federal amendement to the constitution, he supported an admendment to the consitution in his own state. I also can’t find anything regarding the fight against HIV/AIDS on his website.

Truly trying to be as evenly informed as possible on both sides, here.

CNN just had a Log Cabin spokesman on the air. I can’t imagine there are many other people watching CNN mid-day mid-week, but for what it’s worth, I thought he was very effective at making the point that McCain is not remotely like Bush on gay issues.

Um, because it’s the absolute truth. Do you deny the strength of the evangelical base? Do you deny they are against homosexuality? Do you deny that they support laws that intrude in our personal lives? Do you deny that they want to turn the Constitution into a weapon against our relationships? Have you ever read what your allies have to say about LGBT people? You’ve had good experiences, that’s great, but don’t be naive enough to believe that much of the evangelical base does not accept you in anyway except as a challenge to convert and “cure”.

The quoted statement has nothing to do with Democrats, nothing to do with Palin, nothing to do with what you imagine the left feels about conservatives and nothing to do with the other nonsense that all the comments so far have spewed. It’s a simple statement of reality and that’s what offends you so. You lick the boots of those who would place it on your neck and hate those of us who want something different.

There is also the last line of the story where the al-AP reporter said:

“Little polling has been done on the topic, but most gay voters favor the Democratic Party.”

Oh, really? How do you know that, Mr. MSM Reporter? Cite your sources, please.

Dhimmicrats look upon gay voters the same way Sen. Robert Byrd looked at blacks.

well that is vague.
First of all, Evangelical Christians are just one part of the Republican party, and they are not a monolith.
According to Dale Carpenter, 49% of the delegates are in favor of domestic partnership. I’ve got to believe there are evangelicals among those delegates.

Just like the left is exploding since a strong, conservative Republican woman is living the feminist dream. The last thing MSM or the Gay media need is a chink in their idea about gay Republicans.

Dan, just keep spreading the word, there are many young gay conservatives out there, this will only increase their numbers.
