The Things Left-Wingers Say!

September 2, 2008 by GayPatriotWest

Yesterday, the nice left-winger sporting the Bush “Liar Liar Pants On Fire” button on her shirt also spouted some venom against the Vice President of the United States.  She told me that Dick Cheney was such a despicable man that even his wife doesn’t like him.  In fact, she informed me, Lynne was suing him for divorce.

I told her I hadn’t heard such a thing.  She said that I should check the news when I got home.  Which I did, nothing came up.

Ever eager to investigate the truth, I e-mailed Mary Cheney and reported what this woman had said.  She wrote back “First I’ve heard of it.”

I guess it’s such a big secret that only left-wingers in the know are aware of the Cheneys’ impending divorce.  They haven’t even told their daughter!

You actually e-mailed Mary Cheney? Geez, I’m jealous! Tell her she’s a great asset to a great family.

    Regards,
    Peter H.

Well, now we know what Sully will be blogging about tomorrow.

(Hey, if you email her again, tell her I bought her book for my mom last Christmas and she loved it.)

#2 – Mary Cheney is more of a man than Sully is. And that is a compliment in itself.

    Peter H.

Hey, V the K, Mary reads the blog so she should see your comment herself. I may blog about out meeting, but will say simply Mary in person is exactly as she comes across in her book, a decent, friendly young woman who loves her parents and loves her partner. She puts on no airs, is entirely genuine.

#4 – Dan, you hit the main reason why conservatives are loathed by the libtard left. We’re genuine, we don’t put on airs and respond to everyone equally. That’s why they insist on tearing us down.

Again, Mary is a credit to her parents and to US, the gay conservatives. Brava!

    Regards,
    Peter H.

Barney Frank says Palin’s Kids Are Fair Game. I know Barney Frank is a hero of Dan’s, but that’s pretty despicable.

I hope that Sarah Palin is talking to Cheneys about family issues as well. Both families had to deal with ‘uncomfortable’ news about their teenage daughters. The Cheney’s never rejected Mary – which is another reason why the left hates them.

Clearly these two couples are wonderful parents, it is so hard for children to turn to their parents when they really need to. The fact that both Mary and Bristol felt comfortable in turning to theirs is a real credit. That’s what we in the conservative community call family values – valuing and loving your children even when they make mistakes (Bristol) or simply come to terms with who they are. (Mary)

In honor of the thread topic, the following is a reprise of a comment I made in May.

    ————————————–
Here is a rough paraphrase of a dialog I had Saturday with an otherwise very intelligent and worthwhile lady.

    Her: Bush is so corrupt.
    Me: How do you mean?
Her: Don’t you know about all the corruption in the Bush Administration? Like Cheney.
Me: Like what? Can you tell me what Cheney has done? Has he taken bribes?
Her: Well, my husband is super political and he knows all about it. [Ed: And btw, this lady thinks she is a feminist!]
Me: Can you remember anything he said? It’s important to me because every time I ask someone what specific thing that Bush or Cheney has done that allegedly shows the personal corruption, the person never has anything to say.
Her: I wish you could talk to my husband.

I know the husband nearly as well as this lady. Trust me, he is also a very good guy in his own sphere, AND, he won’t be able to tell me anything specific or factual about the Bush Administration. When you mention “Bush”, reason leaves him. He becomes visibly angry, raises his voice, hoods his eyes almost like a reptile, and interrupts or makes personal attacks on anyone he perceives as questioning him or asking him for facts.

I don’t know what this madness is, that has so many of the American people in its grip. But I think it might have to do with their naked fear… they want… a sheltered life… They deny the real threats out there, and re-focus their energy on hating the safe targets, the 2 people whose policies have been very effectively protecting them: Bush and Cheney.

Come on, torrentprime; we’re waiting for you to explain that one.

Hey, speaking of Things Left-Wingers Say… By way of Jonah Goldberg, Joe Bottum has been checking out what the little savages are saying at Kos:

“If health insurance for all, an end to the Iraq War, an end to torture and illegal wiretapping, and a sane energy policy can be obtained at the price of destroying one teenage girl, her family, and the surrendering our self-respect I see that as a cheap trade.”

    And:

“Are you telling me that you would not use character-destroying lies to ensure a war against Iran does not occur? . . . Are you telling me you would not destroy the love a family holds for one another, even if it meant letting someone who would destroy the constitution become president? . . . What choice do we have? When faced with monsters, we have to be monstrous ourselves.”

Folks, remember: the end justifies the means! Sieg Heil! (/sarc)

Liberals are SCARED TO DEATH of Palin.

Not a one will admit it. But – IMHO, that is what is happening.

For once, the liberals are correct, too. They should be scared!

7: How do you know what went on beyond closed doors in a personal family matter? If conjecturing is allowed, then I’m gonna take a shot: How many 17 year old girls are making “the right decision” not only to keep a baby at such a young age but also marrying the father, a guy who doesn’t necessarily sound like the greatest catch in the world for marrying or fatherhood. At 18, his favorite activity seems to be getting drunk (if his hastily removed facebook entry is to be believed). Not exactly the basis for a great (or even mediocre) marriage. If for no other reason, I hope McCain loses so the Palin family will be out of the spotlight and a quickie annulment/divorce can be arranged in short order, rather than having to possibly put up a front for at least 4 years and then hubby can go on to his short-lived reality show career.

Abstinence only sex “education”, unsafe, unprotected sex, sex before marriage, underage drinking, etc. If nothing else, I would sincerely hope this situation gets conservative politicos out of the business of dictating so-called morals to the populace. (but I doubt it)

Say, Kevin, since when did liberals give a crap about morality? And if he gets drunk and beats her, doesn’t that make her a victim for the liberals to exploit?

I should think you would be happy.

The Dems got Palin’s SSN? Redstate says that the Dems used Michael Steele’s credit report.

I’m not a lawyer but using an SSN to retrieve someone else’s credit report without authorization is a crime.

If Palin’s SSN is misused, the Justice Department needs to start looking for people to send to prison.

Barney Frank: pathetic old queen… I used to think more of the man (and that wasn’t much).

Kevin – do you REALLY think that Palin’s daughter and her boyfriend never heard of contraception? Even in Wasillia, AK, the Pill and condoms are available. This is an unfortunate circumstance that kids get into. The only bright spot here is that the family is stepping up to do the right thing (although the “right thing” in liberal circles is to 1) abort or 2) go on welfare and cut the father loose).

#8L ILC, my maternal grandmother had a stone in her show about Reagan. She worked for the state in Pamona for a few years while RR was governor. She would admit there was dead weight but she thought Reagan was the devil himself. Just the word “Reagan” could set her off (we avoided it at family gatherings).

Other than that, she was as sweet as she could be. But she was a typical liberal: “look at those poor people – why doesn’t SOMEONE do something?”.

My uncle used to be a major liberal as well. He once told my father “My mind is made up, don’t try to confuse me with the facts”. He is a very smart man (has written academic papers and such).

A few years working in law enforcement changed his worldview. He’s more conservative than I am.

True. Just look at what happened to Barack! 47 year old empty suit with absolutely no accomplishments or qualifications whatsoever endangering the United States and the entire world with disproven economic and foreign policy! His 18 year old mother clearly should have aborted him.
