I watched this alone at home…with my computer open in front of me. And let me tell you, I was more captivated by her speech than any of my professors. (Only played two hands of solitaire the entire time and that was mostly during the crowd interruptions.) There was definitely great connection with the television audience, even when she looked away from the camera it felt like a normal “looking across the crowd – yes, the crowd you aeven though you’re watching from home”, if that makes any sense. When she looked to the sides, she didn’t appear (for me at least) to be checking the teleprompters like so many of the speakers before clearly had been. All-in-all, on the connection point I think she got it down pat…hell, she got me to comment on here didn’t she? Color me impressed.
