The video

September 4, 2008 by GayPatriotWest

Once again you can feel the energy in the auditorium, but it’s a different of energy than yesterday.

At 96, John McCain’s Mom looks great, having a tarter tongue and expressing herself more readily and honestly than some men than half her age.

Is this the first image of a Republican presidential nominee with Richard Nixon featured at the RNC convention since Nixon himself was the nominee in 1972?

Even the site staff are watching the speech; we’re transfixed. . . .

Wonder how many left-wing bloggers will fault John McCain for using his biography in this introductory video . . . .

There’s nothing wrong in using his biography in his video, but his video doesn’t speak at all to important issues, such as the economy, etc. It’s just a lot of vague and fluffy stuff about “character.” Let’s see what he says in his speech.

Loved the video, and I learned a few things about McCain the man. Such a life of experiences and accomplishments. Wow very powerful!

But the unanswered question is…..do John McCain’s experiences measure up to a “community organizer”? Hmmm let me think about it.

As opposed to “hope, change, hope, hope, change”?

If he doesn’t work for a party, then how come he’s not an independent.

You can’t talk a story about how awful Washington is and as if you’re some sort of outsider when you’ve been there for over 25 years in the house and senate.

It’s funny, because as I was looking around at the various candidates back in 2000, he really struck me as an interesting person with a couple of good things to say, actually went against the grain and seemed to hold to interesting conservative values (even though I certainly don’t agree with him on most of those). I was appalled as I watched the Karl Rove machine paint him as being completely nuts for having served our country and been a prisoner of war. What’s worse now though is he has pretty much dumped all of that, probably after 8 years of eating crow and cow-towing to those he supposedly opposed.

I’m watching him simply regurgitate the same things we’ve heard for the last 8 years…guess what John: None of it has worked. I’m listening to every point he’s giving and so far there is nothing, *nothing* he is saying that is different from what we heard out of Bush for the last 8 years (and from congress for the first 6 of those 8 years). With a solid majority for 6 friggin years, why is this man coming back to us and saying all of this as if the promises were never made before?

Well, all I have to say now is I wish Cranky Old Man and Tina Fey a good race.

An image of Nixon? I didn’t see it, but oh my.

Obama: Surge Has Succeeded “Beyond Wildest Dreams”

Even your presidential candidate, flat wrong on the biggest judgment call of the last 4 years, has given up on that bullshit, and left you holding it, steaming, in your sorry hack hands.

#1: Well, that’s exactly the point. To liberals, “character” is just vague, fluffy stuff that they don’t understand and doesn’t matter anyway. To them, “character” is just filler.
