As far as doing homework goes: Palin vetoed a bill that sought to block the state from giving public employee benefits such as health insurance to same-sex couples.

Saying, as you did, that she vetoed the bill makes it sound like a willing act –or like its some grand proof of her treating LGBT individuals with the same fair hand as Biden, who openly stated during the debate that he supported the same constitutional rights — , when the truth of the matter is that she did veto a bill in Alaska that would have denied health benefits to partners of state employees, she did so at the urging of her attorney general, who argued that signing the bill would have been a violation of the state constitution as interpreted by Alaska’s highest court and she would have gotten called on it.

Not because you made a choice that I like, but because you chose what you thought was best in an honest and fair fashion.

I too was a Boy Scout and some things you just don’t forget.

PS – I never heard of burying the flag deep in the woods.

Of course I do NOT think Obama is a Muslim. I just don’t take him very seriously when he talks about being a Christian, either. He seems to me an insincere leftie secularist who has mantled himself in a tortured form of Christianity, just so he can claim to be Christian. (I know the type… used to be one… so yes, I can spot ‘em.)

Also, it is a politically incorrect, inconvenient fact that Obama was raised a Muslim – which means he *is an apostate* Muslim, not in my eyes, but in the eyes of the world’s 1.X billion Muslims.

BTW – what is the right way to dispose of a flag? (Don’t say, by burning it.)

Actually, it does. There’s a solemn ceremony involved in the burning it though. I attended a flag disposal ceremony when I was an Assistant Scout Master at summer camp back in 1997. It’s not done to make some kind of statement or protest.

I don’t remember the details so much, but I remember that it was very quiet and respectful. Somebody told me the other option is for one person to take the flag out in the woods and bury it, but I’ve not seen or heard of that since.

I don’t agree with everything the Republican platform stands for, but I disagree with just about everything the democrats are about. I love my country, and my place in life has nothing to do with my sexuality. It has to do with my own decisions and actions – something the democrats can’t seem the fathom. Unless you’re a victim, you’re of no use to them, especially if you’re a “minority” who doesn’t play the victim card. I am an American, period, and am grateful, each and everyday, of that. To me, the democrat party has not been an “American” party for quite sometime. So, here I am!!

I find the incomplete denial the most telling. They don’t deny flags were thown away, just that some of them were unused. They then say they had a service coming to take them away (hmm, doing jobs Democrats won’t do?)

This is the year of political redefinition I think.

Yes I heard about the lawsuit that was filed. I hope there’s something there. Usually those kind of things are always let downs.

As for Palin and same-sex benies…an attorney on our blog has looked into this matter and from what we know she vetoed a ban on same-sex benefits…so might want to try doing some homework there boy wonder…

As for Barky as we like to call him or another name is “BamBam” from the Flinstones…always throwing temper tantrums in this one’s case…. he does seem to have some major issues…as well as some really strange connections that don’t seem so “All American” to me…

Was wondering are you all aware that there has been a law suit filed in Phila by a Pa attorney re: Barky’s ability to even run legally? if not will post lates info…the DNC and barky has just recently been served…

Best guess, some flags were thrown away by delegates, but not all of them. So, the truth is somewhere in the middle.
