This is the most common, false, accusation of the right that liberal commenters make on the net. I don’t care about anything else that has been said. It is this one that I’m am soooo sick of hearing. If you read Charlie Wilson’s war, you get an in-depth history of the dealings of America and Afgan freedom fighters. Russia was doing truly terrible things to the Afgan population and giving them the ability to fight back was absolutely justified.
