Not if that freshman is my blogging nephew Mitchell.
Seems that even as the Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee is ever eager to attack his Republican counterpart he admits he has “no idea what her policies [are].” Â All he does is “assume” she has the same policies as George W. Bush and John McCain. Â Shows how blinded by his campaign strategy the Delaware Democrat has become — to assume (his word) that McCain and Bush have the same policies.
Um, Senator, isn’t that your job to know her policies?
My nephew isn’t running for the second highest office in the land (well, he won’t be eligible until 2024) and offers: Â “Just a little tip to Joe Biden, a career politician, coming from Mitchell Blatt, an 18-year-old blogger who actually does know what Palin stands for.” Â Now just read the whole thing!
Didn’t Biden finish in the bottom 11% of his law school class?
Isn’t Biden a long term US Senator who’s served his country for decades while everyone here sits and types into a computer?
Yeah, spending other people’s money is such hard work.
Well, some of us like to keep our senators accountable.
Having a senator just spout talking points, without good research is not representing me very well. He does not get a free pass just because he holds the office.
Exactly. Since he’s a long term Senator, he ought to know what policies his opponent supports.
Now, I fully expect that he does know Palin’s policies, and he is probably just trying to disrespect her by pretending he doesn’t, but he’s only making a fool of himself.
I mean, how can you expect someone who doesn’t even know something as fundamental as what policies to attack their opponent on to know anything about governing…
Dan, it would have been nice if the press had been able to ask her some questions the day after the Conventions ended. We might have then gotten some clarification from her on her issues.
At least with FactCheck, we can put to rest her statements of “I was always against the Bridge-To-NoWhere” business as, well, a lie.
But then she’s a politician…..
Brainiac Biden asks a man in wheelchair to “stand up”.
Now, I’m not a guy who’s been a senator since before the invention of the ATM machine and cassette tapes… but even I know that … you don’t do that.
A month ago I was depressed and unmotivated. With one fell swoop John McCain brought tears to my eyes and fired me up. Sarah Palin. How brilliant was that.
A month ago the Obamaites were saying they were gonna continue to target some Bush Republican states. Montana, North Dakota, North Carolina etc.
Todays Montana poll…..McCain up 11%.
Todays NC poll….Mac Palin +20%
Yesterday’s Pennsylvania poll….Obama up only 2%, TWO!! Here in Pennsylvania we love our pro lifers, Barack’s got troubles holding the Kerry states now. NH, PA,WI, MI. Obama Clinton oops sorry Obama Biden is only +1 in Michigan!!! This is fun huh.
6: Yeah, he clearly was not made aware of the man’s condition with the limited information he was handed about the man at a local rally and he immediately corrected himself and continued to praise the man. Not like, oh, say, waving at Stevie Wonder to try and get his attention….
GPW it is off topic but can I show Mitchell something cool?
Check out this electorial college map. It shows all states with leaners included assigning states to either BHO or Mac Palin.

Obama 273 wins Mac Palin 265 loses
But Mitchell, switch NH from Barack to McCain. You get a 269/269 tie.
Question what happens? Who wins?
We haven’t had much of a chance to ask Palin any kind of questions about her record, her stances relative to McCain, or her goals. She hasn’t been made available to the press. Her first interview isn’t scheduled until later this week, ten days after her nomination.
What is known of her major issue, her statements of being against the “Bridge to Nowhere,” is a flat out lie, while the sale of the Governor’s Office jet on eBay is an exaggeration at best.
Wanna see another awesome map?

1984 Reagan vs Mondale
I have that election night on tape. As each state went red iIhopped around the room screaming. At the end of the night I was so pissed at DC. I mean I could understand MN going for their favorite son Mondull but no one else had an excuse.
Judy Judy Obama lied about taking public financing. A $500 million dollar lie. He lied about voting to stop the practice of allowing birthed babies to die in Illinois. BHO lied about being post partisian and running a high minded campaign. He lied about working acroos the isle with the other party. Name one instance please.GOVERNOR Palin put the jet up for sale on ebay. It was later taken down and sold for more money the traditional way. Quite the lie huh. Keep digging. You should be ashamed to be slinging mud at the first serious woman on a national ticket. Shame.
“I have a higher IQ than you…”
Um, Jody in #6, did she actually say, “I was always against the Bridge to Nowhere.” I did a couple of google searches and came up with no news articles making that claim.
If she did, that would not have been accurate. The fact remains, she killed the bridge, so what she was accurate in what she said in her convention speech. Indeed, she had opposed it since her election as governor.
#7: V – perhaps Joe thought being the Messiah’s running mate imbued him with healing powers.
#9: Kevin – anyone speaking to dozens of crowds day after day is going to make some gaffes… I’m lucky not to fumble my words every time I open my mouth – I’d be a blizzard of gaffes on the stump. Omaba’s reference to 57 states or Joe’s invitation to a guy in a wheelchair to stand mean very little.
They’re just not the best choice in this election
The Bush story is wrong: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/outrage/bushwave.asp
Thanks for the question, Gene. Now let me explain how it works for you. In the case of one candidate does not receive 271 electorial votes, the election is decided by the House of Representatives. Each state has one one vote. I assume Obama would win because Democrats have the overall advantage, so I assume they have the advantage for number of state majorities as well.
Thanks for the irrelevant question.
Mitch may well be smarter than Joe Biden. Courtesy will, hopefully, follow (re comment 18).
Gene – 12th Amendment (Mitch is correct).
In case of a 269 tie each state gets one vote you are right, but in 2004 the Republicans held 30 legislatures Democrats 15. The others were split. I’m not sure the 2008 makeup of the state legislatures. The reason I asked the question is because a tie is a serious possibility. 270 wins.
Jody, it would have been nice if the press had the testicular fortitude to do their job and ask Comrade Obama some tough questions at any point in time. Let’s not forget also that Obama has promissed to sit down and talk with despotic thugs, but has ZERO interest in talking to the American people in townhall meetings. He told you to screw yourself and you lap it up even more.
Some of us know that Comrade Obama’s a lying piece of crap, but the media isn’t interested and won’t allow any real analysis of him. The wagons are circled and the Main Stream Glavlit are serving as the emperor’s clothes.
Oh, he knows. Thing is you’re supposed to be so stupid that you’ll believe everything he says so he doesn’t feel so stupid for believing it himself.
Dan, she never opposed it. She reluctantly walked away from it. Then lied about it.
Congress killed the specific earmark in 2005, though kept the money in the budget. Palin campagined in Ketchikan in 2006, saying “OK, you’ve got Valley trash standing here in the middle of nowhere. I think we’re going to make a good team as we progress that bridge project.”
When asked directly about building the bridge later that year, she said ““Yes. I would like to see Alaska’s infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now – while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist.”
When she finally cancelled the bridge after being elected in 2007, she was still very much in favor of it, saying:
But she still kept the money Alaska had gotten.
So, at the convention, when she said: “I… championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. I told the Congress “thanks, but no thanks,” for that Bridge to Nowhere,” that’s a flat out lie. She did no such thing and her speech was far from accurate.
Which wouldn’t be so bad if she wasn’t still using it in her stump speeches. It’s one thing to “exaggerate” for effect, as both Obama and McCain do with the numbers they sling around about the effect of their rivals tax plans. But she’s flat out prevaricating.
She went from the wrong position to the right position, from favoring a project to killing it. I’m not going to criticize a politician for moving from the dark side to the right side of an issue.
Furthermore, I know that to the elite left, any bridge that doesn’t connect to Manhattan is a “bridge to nowhere.”
She went from the wrong position to the right position. I am not going to criticize a politician for doing that.
The press has been upset with the lack of access to Obama since he clinched the nomination, but they don’t talk about it much. Why exactly didn’t BHO agree to more than three tightly staged debates? MCain wanted weekly town hall meetings. Where is the transparency, the honesty the change and new tone. tTey keep this manchurian candidate under wraps.
Yeah, he clearly was not made aware of the man’s condition with the limited information he was handed about the man at a local rally
Or, in other words, Biden is too stupid to use his eyes.
Permit me to translate Jody’s comment from Bullsh*t to English:
Even Alaska Democrats admit that and give Palin credit. P.S., Jody, Palin wasn’t elected in 2007; she was elected in 2006. Get your facts right.
So these are equal….
Plain did or didn’t “actually ” sell the plane on ebay
vs
Obama knows and associates with an unrepentant terrorist. And madman preacher.
Palin was or wasn’t for the bridge but in the end didn’t accept it.
vs Biden is guilty of a serial perjury.
I get it now.
Gene, the plane was sold by a private broker after no one on eBay met the minimum bid. She got rid of the executive jet and flew coach after being elected. End of story.
Palin’s line has always been “We put the plane on E-bay”. I haven’t heard her say, “sold”.
So again, the truth is:
1) She really did get rid of the Governor’s executive jet. Yay!
2) She really did put it on e-Bay – though in the end, it had to be sold a different way… big freaking deal.
