By Sullivan’s Logic, Obama is a Racist Conspiracy-Monger
Sometimes, our readers say things better than we do.
In my last post, I reported Andrew Sullivan’s contention that Sarah Palin is lying when she claims not to know whether homosexuality is genetic or learned. Â Because her church has promoted a conference on “reparative therapy” (which supposedly “cures” us of the affliction of same-sex attraction), Andrew has concluded that, Palin’s own words notwithstanding, she too judges “homosexuals” in “as extreme a fashion as you can imagine.”
“By that logic,” sonicfrog wrote in the comments, “Obama DOES support everything that was said by the good reverend Wright after all.”

The words “Sullivan” and “logic” don’t really belong together in the same sentence, unless it’s “Andrew Sullivan and the concept of logic have parted company in what has become an increasingly ugly divorce.”

I was a fan of Andrew’s. Once he was an intelligent, locical voice but now he is nothing more than a histerical queen. Sad really. To quote someone, “This isn’t the Andrew I knew.”

No, we, or at least I, don’t HATE Andrew Sullivan. We simply find his blinding fanboy worship of all-things-Obama amusing.
I still read his stuff and he still will make a good point now and again. It’s just that you have to wade through a lot of muck to get to the good stuff.

Where is Andrew Sullivan now? Why is he not protesting Obama campaigning with
“Catholic legal scholar Douglas Kmiec” (see Advocate link: http://www.advocate.com/exclusive_detail_ektid61930.asp)
in which the Advocate discusses Obama on his “Faith, Family and Values” tour, Kmiec supports Prop 8 in California, which overturns the California Supreme Court decision in favor of same sex marriage.
So, by implication, according to Sully, why is Obama even campaigning with Kmiec (never mind campaigning with Donnie McClurken)
Obama really is like the Wizard of Oz (ignore that hypocrisy behind the curtain)
Surprised by the selective hypocrisy of liberals…not in the least.
Sullivan is like the bully in the school yard…he wasn’t liked so now he goes with the popular kids to sell his soul and principles so he can get the bigger audience and be fawned over….Sully is all about Sully and always has been.

Andrew Sullivan lost his mind quite some time ago. To expect reason from him is a futile exercise.
