I'm sure that this topic isn't looked at anymore but I was reading this gem today and decided to share. It's not just the evil liberals who have issues with Palin.

By MSM standards, then Nobama should be decried as a homophobe since he has homophobic supporters like Donnie McClurken and other homophobic minister suupporting actively campaigning for him and his own church giving awards to Louis Farrakhan (forgive the spelling errors) who is both a homophobe and an anti Semite.

Of course, the MSM doesn't call out The Marxist on his own former church's radical view points....but that's a whole different thread.

Palin has said many times she has her views , she respects other people's too. And also that her governing philosophy is based on what is proper for secular govt. in other words she's not on a crusade.

She's a typical Libertarian-leaning Conservative.

There are many people who have strong convictions regarding morality but who do not want to legislate on that basis.

Palin has no history of doing this.

For as smart as the Left portrays itself to be, and as they think themselves insightful they have a knack for finding infinitesimal facts to support their bigotries. but will never allow anything to change their minds.

"Did Sarah Palin sit in her church for 20 years while its pastor railed against the United States?"

Note, also, that she left that church because the pastor had become, in her words, "too extreme." Contrast that to Obama, who apparently sat there in a pew for 20 years, yet never heard a word Wright said -- until he couldn't avoid it.

Watch for Ayers to be next thrown under the bus, now that Obama has been forced to admit he was lying. "That's not the Bill Ayers I knew."

If attitudes toward gays are used to decide this vote, where does Obama fit in? Or Biden? I don't think I've seen their views dissected word by word -- HAVE they said much on the topic?

My issue with Palin is that she says, from all what I have heard, that I chose to be gay. I didn’t.

So what do you care? I doubt that's going to be a defining opinion to get people to vote for her and, when it comes to policy, I can't see where that will come into play.

Let me state that I don't like the fact the Obama sat in the pews of Wright's church for over 20 years ........... and, only left this year. My issue with Palin is that she says, from all what I have heard, that I chose to be gay. I didn't. I would like for her childhood lesbian friend to come forward. I would like to listen to what she has to say, pro or con.

3. With all due respect, Sarah Palin's views on social issues such as abortion, sex education, and homosexuality do seem to coincide with what one would expect of someone with her particular faith background (baptized as a Roman Catholic from what I've read, and but now a practicing Christian of another faith). She does appear comfortable letting people know her views on such issues, but doesn't seem as comfortable actually discussing the views.

She does preach tolerance, but the very definition of tolerance is quite different from acceptance, is it not? I could be wrong, but this is what I observe. I'll continue to reac from various sources to make sure I have a more informed opinion.

I don't mean to imply the everyone MUST be accepting of LGBT persons, but it does seem to be a good goal to strive for regardless on either side of the aisle.

Sarah Palin has mentioned many times that she does not belong to any specific Church. She is not an evangelical like many have labeled her - she is a non denomination Christian.

But now matter, she has attended certain Churches, so of course she must agree with every statement made by the clergy.

Obama on the other hand was an active member and gave very large donations to Trinity Church. He appears in the church bulletins with some very unsavory people. But hey, he didn't know what was going on, so of course he gets a pass.

MSM is making me sick these days, I really shouldn't be surprised, they will sell their own narrative no matter what.

Ah, Brendan, our favorite purveyor of phony moral equivalence. (Still waiting for Brendan to explain how the AIP assembling peacefully to petition government for a redress or grievances {which, for now anyway, is a Constitutional right) equates to bombing the capitol, the Pentagon, the NYPD, firebombing the family of a judge, and building a nail bomb to slaughter American soldiers at Fort Dix, like Obama's buddies in the Weather Underground did).

Did Sarah Palin sit in her church for 20 years while its pastor railed against the United States? No. Did she write a book and give it a title inspired by a sermon from a racist, America-hating preacher? No, she did not. Did she donate tens of thousands of dollars to this church? No, she did not.

Interesting insight into the leftist mindset, courtesy of Brendan. Peaceable assembly to redress the grievances against the Federal government is equivalent to violent terrorist acts. Attending a church where those who think homosexuals who want to change should be given that opportunity are allowed to speak is equivalent to having a close relationship with a racist, demagogic, pastor who spews hatred against the United States.

"The other thing is just because you go to a church which makes statements or believes one thing doesn’t mean you do or will act in that manner. I sure don’t."

Do you apply the same principle to Obama's attendance to Rev. Wright's church? Is "God Damn America" really any different than the founder of the secessionist party in Alaska (a party Sarah Palin's husband belonged to) who believed “The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government.” Of course, I am certain if Michelle O'Bama belonged to a group who expressed the latter belief everyone here would be defending her rights to free assembly and right to constitutionally petition the federal government for change.

My issue is are they still linking her to the AofG church she used to go to and has not gone to in over 2 years or more? The other thing is just because you go to a church which makes statements or believes one thing doesn't mean you do or will act in that manner. I sure don't. I was raised in an AofG church all my life and I always believed different on the issues of salvation, gays, and many other issues.

I love your site by the way.
