Vacationing in Hell

October 9, 2008 by GayPatriot

I’m sorry, but my only reaction to this news item was — “What the f*ck were these two women people thinking by VACATIONING in Lebanon?”

BEIRUT, Lebanon — Two American journalists vacationing in Lebanon are missing, the U.S. Embassy said Wednesday, appealing for information on their possible whereabouts.

An embassy statement said Wednesday that Holli Chmela, 27, and Taylor Luck, 23, have not been heard from since Oct. 1 when they reportedly left Beirut en route to the northern Lebanese port city of Tripoli.

The city is a predominantly Sunni Muslim city where militants and Islamic fundamentalists are known to be active. It has witnessed sectarian fighting in the past few months as well as two car bombs targeting Lebanese troops that killed 25 people and left dozens others wounded.

I guess journalists are more stupid than I figured.

I do hope these two idiots get home safely.

We definitely shouldn’t risk lives trying to find them.

The Left are filling our young people so full of crap about the moderate everyday Muslim, and certainly everything our evil government says about them is a lie. I am not surprised.

    Bruce-
The media is reporting the journalists were arrested in Syria at the house of a man that smuggled them across the border.
Makes me curious they were up to. Doesn’t sound like the vacation cover story will stick too long.

    What were they thinking?

They thought the terrorists knew that they were allies.

Taylor Hicks is a guy, FYI.

He is a journalist for the Jordan Times and she was studying there.

Why they were there, they must have death wishes!?

D’oh!, I meant Taylor Luck not Taylor Hicks.

Someone blow in my ear and give me a refill…

I’m waiting for the collective libtard invectives against the media the way the Kostards and HuffPos did when FNC’s Steve Centanni was kidnapped in 5…4…3…2…

Oh, wait, these journalists are liberals who work for the al-AP. Never mind.

    Regards,
    Peter H.

And while we’re on the subject of Lebanon, isn’t it great how we kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon so that vacationing liberal journalists would be so free to vacation there? (As per Joe Biden in his last debate.)

Small problem, though – Hezbollah was never kicked out of Lebanon.

But never let the truth get in the way of Dhimmicrat talking points.

Well if you are spending your time in Jordan, than of course Lebanon is a vacation spot!
Actually, being an Israeli, I could never go there – my husband did – while serving in the Israeli army in the 80’s. He did reserve duty there, driving like a bat from hell, to avoid car bombs. The little he saw was beautiful.

Tripoli is also known as one of the beautiful beach resorts. Lebanon like all other middle eastern countrys has a split personality. Terrorists wrecking one part of the country while other parts live freely.

Read any of Michael Tottens reports from Lebanon – what used to be the Jewel of the middle east has become a hellhole. But the Lebanese haven’t given in entirely to Hizzbollah – where ever possible they keep Western style living alive and well,
