Regarding voter “registration fraud”, it is direct implementation of something called the “Cloward-Piven Strategy”. There’s a great article up at American Thinker detailing this strategy.

Remember if Obama wins none of these people will be investigated. The FBI inquiry of Acorn will stop and we can be sure that in 2012 it’s likely that in most states with a democratic Secretary of State no republican will meet the registration requirement for candidacy in the presidential election.
I begin to feel the way many people in Germany must have felt in the late 1920s early 1930s.

I love you and am right on board with your belief that ACORN’s shenanigans are endemic, systematic, focused and likely done with the complicity of Democrat party officials. However, the story you reference as 3,700 registered Columbus voters list vacant lots as home doesn’t really say that. Living in Memphis, I am well aware of the common phenomena of people listing parking lots, parents’ homes or even grave yards on their voter registration as residence, but the article to which you linked addressed folks who had properly listed their address at time of registration and were subsequently removed due to foreclosure. The article does address 3700 of these addresses as now being “vacant,” but not “vacant lots.” I tend to believe that that the potential effects of foreclosure on the voting public is being exagerated, since for these voters there are alternative ways to verify their registration (SSN and/or DL#).

Bottom line: the linked article does not say what you purport and does not bolster your argument. I’m on your side, but also believe in fair representation.

I agree with you: ACORN is clearly guilty of voter registration fraud and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. Let’s, however, not forget that Katherine Harris, former Florida Secretary of State, prevented tens of thousands of legal voters from voting in that presidential election.

This is much worse than the voter fraud that exists by ACORN. It would be an unlikely scenario that this organization will go and vote illegally tens of thousands of times using false names. I assume the fraud is being committed more to make profits — I think the company earns money for each person it registers.

I haven’t read all the comments or all the web links but of the first two that I checked there are problems with both. It was 3,700 people registered from vacant lots, not 37,000 in the link.

Also the link about more people registered in Franklin county than exist was dated 2004 if you go to the source.

I think you are right about ACORN but these mistakes don’t serve to help that cause.
