Oh i never claimed McCain's campaign wasnt being run poorly. It is! Nor did I claim that your stories werent actually reported on. I just claim that no one has heard about them, and of the few that have, no one but Daily Kossacks gives a rats ass. Furthermore, I claimed all your other observations were asinine. They were, and they remain so. Drudge going down! lol. seriously. Thats simply detached from reality.

And the idea that the GOP is in crisis because of three beltway socialites, who happen to be the same f--ktards who pushed McCain as our candidate in the first place, is risible as well. We've got much higher profile Democrats supporting McCain. And all the polls consistently show McCain/Palin are supported by a higher percentage of Republicans than Obama/Biden are Democrats.

You are simply not operating in the real world.

She also tried similar BS when she was working on the Ron Paul campaign:

A liar and a Ron Paul supporter. I'm glad I didn't get worked up over nothing.

We shouldn't have to make stuff up to make Obama look bad. He supplies all the ammo we need by himself.

Keep dreaming, elephant. Why are people fleeing the GOP ship in droves (Carlson, Powell, Buckley, etc...)?

The GOP is a party in crisis. Some of your guys want to stay loyal to Bush and his neocon driven policies. This has proven difficult in the wake of his historically low approval ratings. Some of your guys want to return a more old-school Reaganesque version of conservatism. And some of your guys just want to shout JEEBUS at the top of their lungs.

[You have absolutely no clue what's going on in the GOP. Should the Democrats win this fall, we'll see come next spring how much in crisis they are. Bush's blunders and the financial meltdown have prevented us from seeing Democratic divisions, sure to surface should they control Congress adn the White House. --Dan]

Given all this chaos, it's not surprising McCain is having trouble crafting and propagating a consistent message. My thesis is that, had he more competent PR folks, he might be able to manage this message a little better. But he's got a pretty incompetent group of people advising him, so his campaign looks every bit as disorganized as it really is. Obama's campaign, on the other hand, is operating with an almost frightening level of precision and organization. Pretty unusual for a democratic candidate.

[McCain's message problem has little do with some kind of Republican crisis and a lot to do with his own campaign style. I ask you this, would the Obama operation be so smooth if the media were more critical? --Dan]

And regarding some your earlier responses...

The makeup artist (incidentally, the highest paid member of McCain campaign the first half of October) http://www.ajc.com/services/content/news/stories/2008/10/25/pebriefs.html

Regarding the clothes. I don't deny it - she does look much better post-makeover. But is this a politically astute move? She's supposed to be the everyday hockey mom and she just spend more on clothes in one month than Joe the Plumber spent on his friggin house? Really? http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_10795224

Regarding McCain's brother: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iRWsUk14Wl7f42nDYetTT8-6PR3wD94177F80

Regarding Joe the Plumber... My main point here is this guy clearly wasn't vetted. He could have been a great campaigning point. Were Rove running this campaign, however, you can bet your ass they would've thoroughly vetted this guy. Owes back taxes? Isn't really a plumber?

[So, why are we supposed to "vet" someone who just asks a question of a presidential candidate? Is he running for office? Do his imperfections diminish his concerns? --Dan]

And regarding the registration issue - http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1008/Purging_Joe_the_plumber.html

OK, yes, he is registered. But under the "zero tolerance" voter fraud laws advanced by the Ohio GOP, he might be denied a vote.

I think this site is possibly the only collection of people that isn't aware of just how poorly McCain's campaign is being run.

And McCain is toast. I know it’s not fair, but this is going to reflect poorly on his campaign to the average voter.
Uh, no its not.
It’s also going to inoculate Obama against any other race-baiting attempts by the conservative media.
mmm, not gonna do that either.
Poor Matt Drudge… his slippery slope towards irrelevancy just got a lot steeper.
LOL. seriously, LOL.
This, the makeup artist
um, what make-up artist?
the wardrobe costs
pfft, hardly. shes even hotter than before.
the stories about incessant infighting within McCain’s own camp
um, what stories?
McCain’s brother and his big mouth
McCain has a brother? I know Obama has a brother who lives on pennies a day in a shack in Africa, had no idea McCain had a brother and I'm a political junkie
the fact that Joe the Plumber isn’t a plumber…
Not anymore, thanks to the Obama thugocracy seeking to destroy a private citizen for asking a question that made their candidate look bad.
or a registered voter…
yes he is.
or even Joe for that matter…
yes he is. he goes by his middle name. Joe is his middle name. Next you'll be telling us Stephen Grover Cleveland wasn't Grover, John Calvin Coolidge wasn't Calvin, Thomas Woodrow Wilson wasn't Woodrow and Hiram Ulysses S Grant wasn't Ulysses.
He has no message. At least, if he does, it’s drowned out by all these stories.
Only if you're a basement dwelling Daily Kossack or Democrat Undergrounder. No one outside the libtard base has even heard most of these, and NO one outside the rabid, mouth-frothing left could give a rats ass about them. But you bitter lefties cling to them like Bibles and shotguns cus they're all you got.
And don’t give me that “liberal media in the tank” crap. That’s a copout argument coming from either side.
Wrong again! Pew Research Poll from Oct 22nd:

Voters overwhelmingly believe that the media wants Barack Obama to win the presidential election. By a margin of 70%-9%, Americans say most journalists want to see Obama, not John McCain, win on Nov. 4."

Here are two recent articles about alleged attacks against Obama campaign workers:

http://www.wisn.com/politics/17754232/detail.html

http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2008/09/obama_campaign_worker_attacked.html

I'm not suggesting either of them is lying because I don't have enough facts. I just find it peculiar that the media isn't following up to determine the legitimacy of these claims. Getting indignant about imaginary "hatred" is becoming as sickening as hatred itself.

Also in the news today was the story of a black man in Texas who was run over and "dragged" by the vehicle. The media and blacks immediately conjured up the memory of James Byrd who was intentionally tied to a vehicle and dragged to his death.

I'm not saying the people who ran this man over aren't murderers - I don't have enough facts to decide. I'm just shocked at how quickly the hue and cry of "racism" and "hate crime" leaps forth whenever a black man dies at the hands of a white person. The fact of the matter is that blacks kill whites at TWICE the rate that whites kill blacks and 96% of blacks are killed by other blacks.

After James Byrd was killed, liberals attacked Governor George W. Bush for not signing a "hate crime" law. I suppose the three guilty verdicts with two death sentences and one life sentence for the perpetrators of that murder weren't sufficient punishments for them.

Obviously they never read “To Kill A Mockingbird”

I'd be willing to bet that you haven't. Not only that, it seems that neither you nor any of your fellow Obama felchers know what "racist" means just like none of you know what "fascist" means. Clearly you use it a lot because "it sounds really cool!".

the fact that Joe the Plumber isn’t a plumber… or a registered voter… or even Joe for that matter…

Then why smear the guy? Why investigate him more than you do Comrade Obama? He's one of the "little guys" that liberals claim to give a crap about. Why trash him? Why run the risk of alienating other "little guys" who haven't decided?

I'll tell you one damn thing that we DO know is that he's comfortable with his middle name, unlike a certain liberal running for POTUS.

Liar, liar, pants on fire.

Stupid race-baiting little girl got found out. It was fishy from the start.

Even better to know that she actually worked on the McCain campaign.

Haven't read the article, but why is it assumed she's a McCain supporter? Has she claimed as much? And we believe her?

McCain's 'doneness' should delight conservatives.

regardless - what does that matter?

Well, you see, "dood", Erik used the use of the word "thugocracy" to claim that we were all racists.

Now that I've pointed out that that is false, are you going to speak out and state that Erik was wrong, or just demonstrate what a hypocrite you are for supporting Erik's claim that a group of people is racist based on his imaginary interpretation of a word?

@18 North Dallas Thirty

you're right - thugocracy is not NECESSARILY racist - though I am sure some people use it with that in mind.

regardless - what does that matter? whether it was racist or not - you were attributing an imaginary act of violence to an entire group of people. Stating that Obama will run a criminal presidency AS EVIDENCED by an imaginary crime.

whether it was because race or not - you were wrong to attribute that to Obama and his supporters - even if it were true - but the fact that it is not, and the police had doubts from the beginning, shows how quick Conservatives that jumped on this were to condemn an entire group of people - for something that never happened.

What? NDT, you’re spin is just cofnusing sometimes.

Erik, let me remind you of what you said previously.

Please. “Thugocracy” is not a word. It is not in the dictionary. It is a recent invention by conservatives (see: Michael Barone) as a response to Obama’s candidacy. It is racist.

However, as I demonstrated, Democrats were using "thugocracy" two years ago to refer to President Bush -- which means it is neither recent nor a response to Obama's candidacy, and is certainly not referring to skin color.

In short, the word is not racist. You just started screaming "racist" because the only thing Obamabots can do is scream "racist", no matter how foolish or irrelevant it is.

This thing smelled from the start. But if some think the McCain election hinges on something as goofy as this, they are really worried more about Obama's fingernail hold. These two are neck and neck and by all past norms, Obama should have a comfortable lead.

And just so I'm clear, I don't think this girl is reflective of most of Senator McCain's supporters. But yesterday, on this website and others, you were using an unnamed, faceless (and made up) criminal as reflective of ALL Obama supporters, as well as Senator Obama himself.

You were wrong to do that.
