What’s inspiring about Comrade Obama?

When you dont know anything about anything — about ideologies, civics, history, economics… and are voting entirely on image, Obama is very inspiring.

If you are hoping to turn America away from everything it is founded upon, or as Obama put it in that recording, “breaking free of the constraints” put in the Constitution by the founding fathers, in short, if you’re a socialist or a commie, Obama is very inspiring.

Those are the people who are voting for him. That is who he inspires.

I will also add that Governor Palin negotiated a 40 billion dollar natural gas pipeline that we will sorely need. Since that time period, Russia and Iran have teamed up to create an OPEC like monopoly on natural gas. We are going to need to tap natural gas and use Palin’s expertise on Energy Independence.

Palin also gave a speech on women’s rights issues and against Islamic killings of women. Did the MSM carry it….NO.

Has there been a drop of discussion on Palin’s speeches on women’s rights and special needs children education? NO!

I am tired of the Leftists and the MSM giving a pass to the zillion gaffes of Joe Biden, who is one dumb ass dude given every time he opens up his mouth stupidity falls out of it and this from a guy who has been in the US Senate for 36 years, was head of the Judiciary Committee and doesn’t know that the VP is under Article II of the Constitution and does in fact preside over the Senate and as the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee makes pronouncements that NObama is a NOT Ready Prime Time Player to be President of the USA and will mess up big time in a foreign policy crisis and the American people are going to be mighty upset that NOBama does the wrong thing and screws up and the MSM screams that Palin is NOT ready to be President…HELLO?!!!! The current Democratic nominee for President is NOT ready to be President according to his own running mate and that gets a pass by the MSM..

and we know what the Marxist Nobama will do with the press (who bitterly complained about Bush but are dumb, deaf and blind when it comes to NOBAMA obliterating the First Amendment and specifically stating that unless you take the Marxist Party Line you will be denied access to their candidates to ask legitimate questions…..no pun intended, but Marx my words……you will hear from Nobama Land that any member of the press that asks legitimate critical questions of the
Marxist in Chief is a racist and will be frozen out of press access and will be smeared just as they did to Joe the Plumber…..we have only just begun…..4 to 8 years of living in the USSR…..the USSR is indeed back and we will be living in it.

Why then did [GPW's correspondent] support [Obama], I wondered? Because, he replied, the Democrat is “inspiring” and can “bring people together.”

Translation: Because he feels like it and has no good reasons. For the record: Obama can’t bring people together. He could barely even beat Hillary in the primaries! As a “community organizer” he apparently accomplished nothing. As a State Senator, nothing. As a U.S. Senator, nothing. And as President, I predict, he will only sow class warfare and take us economically and socially backward, towards socialism-fascism (yet more expansion of the State).

Obama… wants to confiscate money from moderately wealthy businesses and individuals and hand it out to people who pay no federal taxes.

Which is how a nation destroys its capital stock.

Go ahead and tax “the corporations”, and the poor and the middle class always pay the price in the end: in lost jobs, lower salaries and wages, higher costs for goods and services, ‘missing’ goods and services (ones not produced), etc.

Go ahead and tax “the rich”, and the poor and the middle class always pay the price in the end: in capital not raised, businesses weakened, businesses not started, innovations not made, inventions not developed, foundations not funded, etc.

People want to be lifted up right now. They want optimism, not division. And all Palin is offering is division. There is absolutely no optimism in her message right now. It’s another thing that’s driving down her numbers.

What’s uplifting about a America sucks ass! platform? How is it inspiring to slander people you’re “embarrassed” by as “racist” or bitter clinging to God and guns? What’s inspiring about claiming that a Seasoned Citizen can’t do anything meaningful becasue we all know all old folks have Alzheimer’s (yuck, yuck, yuck!)?

Which is why Barack Obama and his surrogates like John Murtha are sitting there calling them “bitter” and “racists” for not voting for Obama.

And why people like you, Erik, are calling us racists for using the word “thugocracy”.

Maybe you’re right. People do wanted to be lifted up. And I gotta admit, that, on the whole, Obama does a good job of that.

And yes, alas, people won’t delve into her record in Alaska, but it gives a hint of her governing style. And it’s hardly that of right-wing ideologue.

Only the liberals could trash one of their voting blocks and expect to get away with it.

I didn’t know the Anchorage Daily News spoke for liberals, but i’ll take that into account before I post something from them again.

Oh, and, you didn’t get to my point about her pragmatic record in office.

Look, she’s so new to the national stage that people aren’t going to delve into the details of the Alaskan Natural Gas Pipeline project right away. They’re going to look at her positions on abortion, global warming and gay marriage, among other issues. They are easier issues to wrap your head around. And on those larger, big picture issues, she does toe a hard right line.

Additionally, Palin’s rhetoric is all wrong for the current political climate. At a time when people are beaten down and believe the country is on the wrong track, it is a miscalculation to proclaim that some parts of America are more “Pro-America” than others, that some parts of America constitute the “real America” and just all the other “joe six pack”, “hockey mom”, “elitist” identity politic arguments. People want to be lifted up right now. They want optimism, not division. And all Palin is offering is division. There is absolutely no optimism in her message right now. It’s another thing that’s driving down her numbers.

Case in point:

Sen. Obama warned regulators and the nation 19 months ago that the subprime lending crisis was a disaster in the making. Sen. McCain backed tighter rules for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but didn’t do much to advance that legislation.

Gee, you’d think a news outlet could actually read.

So here’s the difference; McCain pushes, argues for, and actually cosponsors legislation to stop the problem, while Obama writes letters much later — while pocketing over a hundred thousand dollars from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and employing their disgraced CEOs as campaign advisors.

What the ADN knows is the party line, and that’s what they’re parroting. Intelligent voters who put Palin in office by a massive margin and continue to support her know far better.

Oh, and, you didn’t get to my point about her pragmatic record in office.

Yet despite her formidable gifts, few who have worked closely with the governor would argue she is truly ready to assume command of the most important, powerful nation on earth. To step in and juggle the demands of an economic meltdown, two deadly wars and a deteriorating climate crisis would stretch the governor beyond her range. Like picking Sen. McCain for president, putting her one 72-year-old heartbeat from the leadership of the free world is just too risky at this time.

A Vice-Presidential candidate has to be able to give a reasoned, well thought out response to that question.

Unless you’re a liberal and Joe Bigot, then you get patted on the head and excused.

She screwed up then, but has since come across much better, so much better that the national media all but ignores how much more available she has been in recent days–and how many more interviews she has conducted. If she had made any gaffes, we’d have heard about them. Whereas the conservative media report Biden’s gaffes, the MSM report Palin’s.

So, if the American people see her as that, well, then the McCain campaign failed to sell her experience. Or the MSM (except for USA TODAY failed to report it.

Given that you seem a well-informed guy and you see her as an ideologue, my point is made.

It never crosses your mind that maybe most Americans aren’t as ignorant as you ascribe them to be and in fact, when they figured out Palin was a hard right ideologue, they just said – hell no, not that again?

As David Frum wrote this weekend in the Wahington Post about Palin and what he refered to as the McCain camp’s “Palinized” strategy of hitting Obama as an alien, radical and socialist:

Sure enough, the base has responded. After months and months of wan enthusiasm among Republicans, these last weeks have at last energized the core of the party. But there’s a downside: The very same campaign strategy that has belatedly mobilized the Republican core has alienated and offended the great national middle, which was the only place where the 2008 election could have been won.

Problem number two is that Palin needed to be able to answer substantive policy questions on day one after being selected and she couldn’t. When Katie Couric asked Palin for her opinion on the 700 billion dollar bailout package, that was NOT an unfair question. Palin’s ensuing Miss South Carolina moment was of her own doing. A Vice-Presidential candidate has to be able to give a reasoned, well thought out response to that question. It was the most important issue in the country at that moment. Palin screwed up, plain and simple. That question was straight up, no spin. Palin hung herself with her own rope.
