“White People Shouldn’t Be Allowed To Vote”
How charming. In this day and age I cannot believe this type of hate speech is now considered mainstream. (h/t – Campaign Spot at NRO)
As a lifelong Caucasian, I am beginning to think the time has finally come to take the right to vote away from white people, at least until we come to our senses. Seriously, I just don’t think we can be trusted to exercise it responsibly anymore.
I give you Exhibit A: The last eight years.
In 2000, Bush-Cheney stole the election, got us attacked, and then got us into two no-exit wars. Four years later, white people reelected them. Is not the repetition of the same behavior over and over again with the expectation of a different outcome the very definition of insanity? (It is, I looked it up.)
Exhibit B is any given Sarah Palin rally.
Exhibit C would be Ed Rendell and John Murtha, who in separate moments of on-the-record candor they would come to regret, pointing out that there are plenty of people in Pennsylvania who just cannot bring themselves to pull the lever for a black man – no matter what they tell pollsters.
So, understand that I am saying all this for the good of the country and, in fact, for the good of those hard-working white people that Hillary used to pander to.
I know those people, I come from them. They are not some shameful abstract demographic to be brushed under the rug of euphemism by Wolf Blitzer and his ilk.
I have broken kielbasa with those people. I went to school with their children. I have gone to Sunday Mass with a deer-hunter hangover with those people. They are bitter with good reason, and they are armed because they are scared. They mean well, but they are easily spooked.
I fear for what is to become of them after the campaigns leave town for the last time, and Scranton and Allentown and Carlisle go back to being the long dark chicken dance of the national soul they were before the media showed up.
This is as racist and stereotypical of any hate speech I have ever seen.
Could you imagine the riots that would breakout at the New York Times and Hollyweird if a columnist in, say Atlanta, wrote “Black People Shouldn’t Be Allowed To Vote.” ???
Again, this columnist is one of the footsoldiers of the Obama Thugocracy. He is willing to subjugate his own rights and freedom on behalf of The One. Last I checked that was called socialism at the least, fascism at the worst.

Trust me, the Obama supporters are getting even better than that.

Takeaway: Exhibit B is any given Sarah Palin rally.
They’re terrified of her popularity despite the Pravda media’s constant attacks.

Funny that this guy actually made an allusion to being perceived as an elitist for his column. This is not in the tradition of insightful, intellectual commentary but rather a written form of moron performance art. Something practiced by low-intellect emotional infants who’ve felt marginalized by life and in seeking a community of like-minded souls have collectively manufactured the illusion that they and their peers are the normal ones. The trade-off, of course, is that while this twatwaffle will get hugs and high fives from his mutant progressive friends he is disconnected from any capacity to persuade, connect or speak honestly to the larger world. So in the end this is at best masturbation and at worst, will have the opposite of his intended effect.

Obama lawyer to student who exposed voter fraud: “I’ll be watching you.” Did someone say, “Thugocracy?”

Only an elite, self-castrating fucker (oxymoron) can make such a statement. He’s the product of a) a generation of high-brow academicism at war against “white supremacy” and b) can only live day-to-day in a socio-economic bubble where he doesn’t have to prove his mettle (his stuff, his stones).

Worth noting:
Although this ran on the Op-Ed page of a real newspaper, the author is the editor of a COMEDY paper — a sort of local equivalent to the Onion.
Worth noting.

For goodness’ sake, this guy was being sarcastic and not serious!
Also, why do you keep using “Thugocracy”? You did this last week when you went off and promoted that thoroughly debunked story about the lunatic who scarred herself.
The use of the word “Thugocracy” simply is an attempt to inject racial stereotypes. Moreover, you also have a convenient amnesia about the very real thuggish behavior observed over the last 8 years of the Bush Administration:
1. Imperial Presidency
2. Secret Prisons
3. Assaults on Press Freedom
4. Warrantless Wiretaps
And, can you please take a moment to discuss the very real death threats that were issued against people who disagree with Bush (like the Dixie Chicks) or Sarah Palin’s selection? Kathleen Parker has written extensively about the death threats she has received.
Moreover, while there are scary fring elements on all sides, you conveniently leave out the well-oiled machine members of GOP Pravda brigade: Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, and others. All of whom have used less than civil words to attack political opponents.
Last week, Bruce, you happily published that false story about Ashley Todd. You labeled it as example of Obama “Thugocracy.” Did you bother to apologize after the story was debunked? Did you issue an apology on this blog? If not, why not? You smeared people. Right?
Maybe this is a question of semantics. What does “Thugocracy” mean to you?
If it means a government with no respect for the Rule of Law, then I submit the last 8 years of the Bush Administration and its merry band of enablers, who happily cheered them on. Were you part of the cheer squad?
Otherwise, can you point to any historical thuggish acts that Senator Obama committed?
This country is in a mess. Why do so few Conservatives refuse to take personal responsibility for this situation? Instead, it seems that many just want to blame others.
Do you take any responsibility for supporting the president who made this mess?

Meanwhile, blakes, your attempt to spin and pretend that “thugocracy” is some kind of racial slur are undermined by your own party’s use of it to describe Bush.
Comment by North Dallas Thirty — October 27, 2008 @ 4:03 pm - October 27, 2008
Filter, GP and GPW. Blakes needs to be reminded that, had he actually read the article, the author made it clear that he was not joking.
Comment by North Dallas Thirty — October 27, 2008 @ 4:03 pm - October 27, 2008
ND30,
Why do you bother to make stuff up that can easily be disproved?
You really should be ashamed of yourself. Here’s what the author said:
“By this point, you either think I am joking or are calling me an elitist. I assure you I am neither. OK, maybe a little of both.”
So, yes, he was joking, being sarcastic.
And, ND30, how about you actually answer some of my questions about the Bush administration and the rule of law? You always skirt the issue.
As for comparing the use of the word “thug” by Democrats vs Republicans, we have to look at context. Is there clearly recognizable thuggish behavior on the part of the Bush Admin and people like Coulter, et. al. Then contrast that with the well known stereotype that black men are violent, oppressive thugs.
In the case of Obama, there are no real “thuggish” acts. Again, the article in question here was snarky introspection. To label it as racist is pretty petty and extreme. This is no more racist than articles by Jewish or black authors questioning the good judgment of their fellows done in similar sarcastic fashion. Hello! Both Jewish and African-American comics have made careers out of such introspection, right?
Is the article stupid? Kinda. But is it filled with hate? No.
This posting was a knee-jerk attempt to smear an Obama supporter.
The irony here is that Michael Savage, Neal Boortz, Ann Coulter, Dinesh D’Souza, and others have written or said things with no comic intent (being serious) that are racist or homophobic. To wit, Ann Coulter calling John Edwards a “fag,” Savage telling a caller that he should “die of AIDS,” etc.
Now, what about the death threats that Kathleen Parker received? Should there not be a place for disagreement in the GOP? If one disagrees about a candidate, does that candidate deserve to receive death threats? Parker didn’t like Palin. Didn’t Parker have a First Amendment right to express her opinion?
This takes me back to my point about the Dixie Chicks. When Natalie M. made her statement, what happened? Clear Channel, a Republican-controlled organization, banned the Dixie Chicks. Clear Channel owned stations had record burning ceremonies. And, sadly, the Dixie Chicks faced death threats.
That seems like real, thuggish behavior.
Comment by blake — October 27, 2008 @ 6:40 pm - October 27, 2008
Sorry, blakes, but given the behavior that gay and lesbian liberals like yourself practice, your hypocrisy becomes blatantly obvious the more and more you shriek.
Furthermore, the fact that that piece was not a joke is made even more obvious by the amount of spinning you’re trying to do. Barack Obama endorsed and supported with millions of dollars programs that taught public school children that behavior is determined by the amount of melanin in the skin. This sort of rhetoric fits right in with that.

Comment by North Dallas Thirty — October 27, 2008 @ 8:07 pm - October 27, 2008
Actually, blakes may not be aware of this, but it’s possible for someone to be “joking” and still say obnoxious, loathesome things.
Sandra Bernhardt was “joking” when she said she wanted Sarah Palin gang-raped.
Randi Rhodes was “joking” when called for Bush and Cheney’s assassination.
Joe Biden was “joking” when he bragged about Delaware being a slave state… oh, wait, he wasn’t.
But the point remains, one can’t use “satire” as a catchall excuse for saying offensive, repugnant things.
Especially bad, third-rate satire.
Comment by V the K — October 27, 2008 @ 8:15 pm - October 27, 2008
blake- you are not allowed, per your own rules, to use the word “thug”. That is the new law in Obamaland, according to you.
Comment by Bruce (GayPatriot) — October 27, 2008 @ 10:05 pm - October 27, 2008
I happen to think that way too often, Ann Coulter is disgusting. If someone on the right happens to be rude and crude – does that mean that liberal writers can do the same?
Comment by Peg — October 27, 2008 @ 11:21 pm - October 27, 2008
Only because you are mind-numbingly ignorant Blake.
The Bush administration has followed the rule of law at all times. If you weren’t entirely ignorant of civics, you would know that there are areas of the law which are UNSETTLED, over which people can have honest disagreements. Indeed, most people who can put 2 and 2 together instantly recognize that this is precisely why court decisions are often divided.
The very FEW times the courts have not supported the Bush administrations view, the administration has immediately complied, but far more often than not, the courts have agreed with Bush and Congress, despite all Democrats lies and demagoguery and undermining of their own nation in wartime for political gain, has come around to the Bush position. Including your own presidential candidate.

#10: blake, the fact that you cite Ann Coulter calling that fag John Edwards a “fag” as something said with “no comic intent” just proves you still don’t get the joke. Fag.

#7, can you please give specific examples of Bush Administration “assaults on press freedom”? I’m looking for names of reporters who have been jailed for their stories, newspapers that have been shut down because of political content, etc., etc., etc. This is usual leftist drivel that is rarely substantiated.
Barama (a contraction of Barack Obama), Pelosi, Reid, et al want to resurrect the “Fairness Doctrine” to eliminate any criticisms of them or their programs. It is nothing more and nothing less than suppression of free speech.
