Scary Thought of the Day: Biden Just a Heartbeat Away
If the MSM had paid Joe Biden half the attention they paid Sarah Palin during the campaign, there’s no doubt people would be wondering if the soon-to-be-former longtime Delaware Senator were a drag on his party’s ticket. Remember the stories before the mortgage meltdown that he was going to find an excuse to step down from the Democratic ticket on October 5 to make way for Hillary Clinton?
Joe Biden makes more gaffes the average week than Sarah Palin made in the entire campaign. Take out just Palin’s interview with Katie Couric, and you could say that Biden made more gaffes per speech than the Alaska Governor made in the entire campaign. And he had thirty-six years of “experience.”
Now, with McCain campaign aides trashing their soon-to-be former boss’s choice of running mate, Michael Ledeen observes:
The worst of it is that very little attention is devoted to the actual VP-elect, Joe Biden of Delaware, a man with no executive experience, who invents ‘facts’ many times a day, who is the walking definition of narcissist, and who will, for the next four years, be a heartbeat away from the presidency
And that is more frightening to me than the prospect of Sarah Palin in a similar situation.

Obama is going to deep-six Biden. He won’t be a heartbeat away, he will be a continent away. In fact, as soon as Pelosi hears the bad news of Obama’s demise, Biden will suffer an unexpected fatal accident.
Of course, I am speaking in the Oliver Stone warp of reality. But, Biden has proved his worthlessness so completely, that everyone knows his main utility is as the hat check boy. His health is so risky that the real thinking is who will replace Biden.

Ann Coulter summed it up the best when she gave out Biden’s Secret Service nickname: “Assassination Insurance.”
Priceless.
Just think – the American people have elected as VP someone who makes Dan Quayle look intelligent by comparison!

Scarier Thought of the Day: Chairman O taking economic and tax advice from the Governor of Michigan, the state that beat the rest of the country into recession by six years.

well, soreloseritis didn’t take long. Face it folks the idea of Biden becoming president was a lot more palpable to people than Caribou Barbie. Why don’t you poll your Republican friends who voted for Obama. Bet you find that she was a big reason why they didn’t vote for McCain. What a monumental mistake he made choosing her.

Or I could ask my left-leaning friend who absolutely despises Obama.

#5, thus the reason the race became a race and not a route. Sarah Palin motivated the base, and her real talk invigorated a lot of people.
I know the McCain campaign was the first one I contributed to, after he nominated Gov Palin.
So what would be a President Biden’s biggest gaff? Offering a beer to I’m-a-dinner-jacket? Or maybe some porkrinds?

Isn’t 3rd in line Speaker of the House? Pelosi, anyone? I wish HC was VP elect, I would feel much better with her a heartbeat away. That said, I think the Republicans who are trying to blaim the woman/Palin for McCain’s loss are showing their true colors. They are trying to neutralize her from even considering a Pres run in “12″. Sounds like the “Good Old Boy Network” is back at it. It’s a shame they haven’t learned anything yet.

Speaking of “soreloseritis,” it’s helpful to take a trip back in time … four year ago to see how leftists handled a election loss:

I have only one Republican friend who voted for Obama. She did so to “teach the party a lesson” and “get it back on track.” However, I know a ridiculous number of socially conservative Republicans who planned to stay at home on election day until Palin was announced as VP. I know Democrats hate her, but you can let go of the idea that there was a massive number of Republicans who voted for Obama because of Palin. McCain would’ve lost by a wider margin if he hadn’t chosen her, as crazy as that seems to you, I’m sure.

You have to admit the man knows foreign policy. He was dead on in predicting that Obama would cause an international crisis.
