So, the next questionâ€¦ should Jeb Bush run for Mel Martinezâ€™s Senate seat? Or, should Florida go with someone more like one of the Diaz-Balarts, or Marco Rubio? Over to you, TGC.

I’d vote for Jeb in a heartbeat. The fact that it would infuriate Bill Nelson is gravy.

I heard some politico on the radio say that he’s more of the executive type than legislative, but I think he could still do it and command a ton of votes.

Indeed; she repeatedly sells herself to them, but acts surprised and upset when they treat her like a prostitute.

Maybe she’ll figure out what John McCain never did; those people who are your friends as long as you do exactly what they want aren’t really your friends at all.

If challenging the way a senator votes is off-limits during elections, then what does Jack Allen think is fair game? Or is it okay to bring up a voting record, just never in a way that makes a Democrat look bad.

Jack Allen: Perhaps you should learn a bit more about Max Cleland and how he lost his legs in Vietnam. His was a NON-COMBAT related injury that HE caused by HIS misuse of a grenade. Additionally, Saxbe never questioned his patriotism, he question his judgement based on his voting history.

I don’t know who should be most embarrassed — the Republicans for having Saxby Chambliss in the Senate or the Democrats for having a loon like Al Franken think he ought to be in the Senate.

Chambliss is pathetic. In 2002 he trashed a veteran who’s confined to a wheelchair because he lost his legs in Vietnam. And this time out, he lied and lied and lied about what President Obama will do and what he alone can prevent Obama from doing.

By the way, Dan, I don’t buy into your premise that the Chambliss win “bodes well for the GOP in 2010″. Georgia is a red state that McCain carried in November. Barack Obama was not actively involved in yesterday’s run-off campaign, believing it was neither the time nor place to use up his political capital.

Glad the Kit brought Palin into the conversation. Saxby (the Senator) is in full bore praise of her crowd drawing, base energizing blitz.

Palin has her own reelection to tend to in 2010, but she will probably have plenty of time to campaign for Senate and House candidates in the lower 48. Her star is still rising, despite what the MSM says of her.
