2008 Weblog Awards — Twice Nominated!
Well, the finalist slates aren’t complete…. but I noticed that GayPatriot has been nominated in TWO categories: Best LGBT Blog and Best Conservative Blog.  I’m more happy to be in the second category — thanks LesbianNeoCon!!!!
Anyway, I don’t have the energy for a vote-gathering crusade this year.  So even if we are in the final slate in either category — may the best blog vote hustler win.  My favorite prize in 2008 was hitting the Two Million mark!!

In a news of a similar sort, a book much recommended on GP, Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism, was Amazon’s top selling political book of 2008. Despite the fact that certain commenters here felt obligated to bash it while admitting they hadn’t, and wouldn’t, read it; thus illustrating the honest intellect of the liberal mind.

Way to go guys! Thanks for having a blog that makes me feel like I’m not the only gay conservative out there.
And if we need votes, why don’t we call up Al Franken’s staff? I’m sure they could fabricate - uh, I mean “find” - some extra votes. I hear they are pretty good at that sort of thing.

Bruce, you’ve got your priorities straight. The 2M+ acomplishment is worth far more than any reader/voter pseudo-award on the net.
