Here is where I draw a direct parallel between radical Islam and the left in America. Each thrive on a toxic hatred of those they condemn. Each can ignore the hypocrisy of their fellows if the means suit their agenda. They will lie and weasel at will, because lying and weaseling to the enemy is useful and necessary to gain and hold control.

If a different Dave is arguing that he can produce a liberal or two in America who are so out of touch with politics and so enamored of the commune ideal while being just peachy sweet flower children, then I cede the point. I am not addressing the ashram set.

Anyone who watches the broadcast channels. reads the MSM, goes to the movies, attends public meetings, or otherwise encounters liberals can not escape their steady drum beat of lying by omission, selective hearing, weasel words dependency, blatant hypocrisy, and piling on of bombast without ever addressing a point.

Liberal gays come on this site (which attracts political speech) and they make really amazing statements that are more hallucinatory than realistic. Others express what the “want” and “feel” and stay to argue. But in the end, liberals on this sire want the power of government and the force of government to cause it to happen. To impose what the want and feel on the rest of society.

If liberals were all of the ashram type, we could treat them like the Amish. We could watch them wear their flip-flops in the snow, we could buy their cheese, we could marvel at the names of their children. They could be a national cultural treasure. But liberals are focused on the power of government and growing the tentacles of government into each little niche of life. Sort of like radical Islam, except liberals have a far less well defined set of rules.

There are two types of statements. #1) Normative statements which are about what you believe. They are not worth arguing. You can’t. #2) Positive statements which are based on fact. They are the basis of all argument. You sort out the facts.

Stand by it all you want, it’s still ignorant. It is simply impossible to make a statement “liberals believe” because there are many who can be called liberals and all with vastly different views on issue. Y’all bitch when anyone says “conservatives are” so it’s hypocritical for you to do the same. Not only that but it’s basically just a lie. Liberals are as radically aligned with secular humanism as the well spring of their moral relativity. They see government as the vehicle of health care, education, day care, diversity reeducation, defining the culture, setting and completing the social agenda, regulating economic, social and cultural affairs. They use the tools of the demagogue to buy people through small money via entitlements and affirmative action programs.

There is no greater tool in the liberal’s workshop than defining what is “hate” speech or crime, what is politically correct, what is “fair” to say, what is “diverse,” what “choice” includes and does not include. It is all doublespeak and miasma. To adhere to this type of deception, one must have a toxic disdain for the individual and personal responsibility. Since it is deception, it is also a lie.

What is funnier than Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden pontificating on the Catholic Church and when life begins? You may have noticed that both of them were smacked hard by the Catholic Church. The point is, liberals just redefine things to fit their needs. That is, classically speaking, a common form of lying.

Obama has been quite voluble on a number of issues since the election and the media has been treating his pronouncements as if he has already taken office. (I’ve heard a couple of reporters slip up and say “The Obama administration released a statement…”) His silence on this issue is deafening.

You got that right, pal. Look who the U.N. sends to Gaza as a “human rights” representative. Richard Falk. A guy who compares Israelis to Nazis, thinks 9-11 was an inside job, and says the missiles Hamas fires into Israel are “harmless.”

He also happens to be a law professor at Princeton. (Home of the “Ethics Professor” who thinks its okay to kill children up until the age of two.)
