BigHollywood is a great blog.
That article was fascinating, as he describes his transformation.

One comment he makes, about going to his partner’s Catholic Church. People accept him and welcome them as a couple. It is an acceptance
we don’t see in the liberal world.

A liberal friend was commenting how her daughters family recently moved to North San Diego county – and is uncomfortable – because of all the “No on 8″ signs. I asked her how these same people have treated the newcomers. They are lovely welcoming neighbors, but her daughter can’t get past this issue of disagreement.
I’d say the problem is with the lefties, one of these days they will have to learn to live with people who disagree with them.

Since its appearance, BigHollywood has become a daily Must Read. The article today by Charles Winecoff is what I suspect will become a classic. With intelligence and thoughtfullness, he addresses the issues of jihad, American liberal guilt and the fear of many to even talk about terrorism and what it means to every American, not just gay Americans. It is a courageous and risky article for him to write. He stands to lose much in liberal Hollywood, but the man stands on his principles. This article needs to be forwarded and emailed to every idiot gay man and woman who demonstrates in favor of Palistinian murderers and against pluralistic and tolerant democratic Israel. Every time I see signs in San Francisco (usually via Zombie) that proclaim “Queers for Palistine”, I see a flock of chicken, proclaiming their support for Colonel Sanders. It is articles like this one that might finally dent their thick skulls into thinking rationally. Thank God for men like Charles Winecoff.

Israel is engaged in a struggle for its life against the kind of terrorists who killed Americans on 9-11. The above video shows a terrorist attacking an Israeli officer by throwing a grenade at him. The officer quickly runs to the terrorist, picks him up, and uses the terrorist as a human shield against the grenade blast. Result? Lightly-wounded officer; dead terrorist.

It’s not totally awesome, because it’s tragic that these monsters exist, that Israel has to fight them, and that anyone has to lose their life on either side. But it’s awesome that the good guy survived, and that he turned the tables on the terrorist. (Using him as a human shield, as terrorists often do to their civilian victims.)
