Liberals always wanted us to question authority, right? Well, now THEY are the “authority”.

“I’m sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we’re Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.†– Hillary Rodham Clinton

Absolutely, we have the right to object to anything we see as wrong done by this or any administration. I believe in giving credit when it is due and objecting when it isn’t.
Considering we are in an economic crisis (ha, ha) the money spent yesterday was over the top. How about showing that you are rally serious and being sworn in in the Oval Office and getting to work……
Comment by PatriotMom — January 21, 2009 @ 7:35 am - January 21, 2009
Ha! That’s like asking his cult of Global Warming True Believers not to fly 600 private jets into DC for his coronation.

I don’t think you will see that many libs saying you hate America because you disagree with Obama (except for snark)
Hopefully we can get back to honest debates instead of the tried and true conservative mantra:
Dissent = Treason!

Unlike the pathetic and immoral GOP, the democrats will hold President Obama’s feet to the fire. He’ll need to work with all of congress to get things accomplished; unlike Bush’s terms, his party simply won’t look the other way and let his agenda advance if they don’t think it’s right.
Comment by buckeyenutlover — January 21, 2009 @ 10:56 am - January 21, 2009
Considering the Democrat Party has a tax evader as Chairman as the House Ways & Means Committee and is installing another Tax Evader as the head of the Treasury Department, how anyone can type that with a straight face is beyond me.
The Democrat Party isn’t pathetic and immoral? Apparently Gary Becker and Sam Adams didn’t get the memo.

ILC (#7) – Yes, that is hilarious. Kind of how the Supreme Soviet held Kruschev’s feet to the fire. Or how the Iraqi Parliament held Saddam’s feet to the fire. Or how the China’s legislature holds its President’s feet to the fire.
I’ve never seen a dumber statement in all my life.
Comment by GayPatriot — January 21, 2009 @ 12:05 pm - January 21, 2009
Go for it. This isn’t really that offensive to libs, although it’s kind of funny that you think it is.

Remember the new definition of patriotism is “speaking truth to power”, ask tough questions, work hard to dig into these peoples decisions. We already know they are lowering standards. Appointing creeps and crooks, tax scofflaws to high positions. Alert to thinking Americans…dont’ take anything for granted. Expect lies. Obama promised small businesses during the campaign a $3000 tax credit for every new employee hired. He lied, he said now he can’t do it. At a meeting of small business people we have decided to hold off on hiring and to consider more layoffs until we know about Obamas business tax policies. No new equipment purchases, no investments. The only hiring that will happen in the next 2 years will be good for nothing government jobs. More postal workers, more DMV workers, more workers for DC. If Obama doesn’t want the help of small businesses, we won’t help him either.

Tell that to Joe the Plumber.

I like the stickers, but I’m very uncomfortable with the name of the CafePress shop which is selling them.
Comment by MichaelnotMike — January 21, 2009 @ 2:07 pm - January 21, 2009
I just want a sticker that says “Dissent is STILL Patriotic.”
Comment by V the K — January 21, 2009 @ 2:16 pm - January 21, 2009
I’m too cheap/frugal/cheap to buy a new bumper sticker. I’ll just keep my “Veterans for McCain” one on until it falls off.

I like my car more than your bumper sticker, so I have to decline.

Thanks for giving me my first smile of the Obama era.
Comment by Ronnie Gipper — January 21, 2009 @ 3:07 pm - January 21, 2009
Skip the bumper stickers.
Let’s begin the call to impeach Obama.
He’s been in 24 hours and we should be able to impeach him for all the promises he hasn’t kept, for the election fraud, the campaign finance violations and planning to ramp up the war in Afghanistan. Plus, I don’t think he was singing full voice at the Natl Cathedral service… utterly disrespectful. And did you see how religiously he prayed when the muslim cleric got up to the Diversity Pulpit?
GITMO is still open, American civil liberties are still under threat by the Patriot Act, gays are still oppressed in the military, federal tax benefits haven’t been extended to domestic union partners yet and, worst of all, the federal budget deficit and our trade deficit continue to grow unabated. And it’s rumored he wants to start the draft!
Impeach the bum. Let’s get LyingJoeBiden into the Oval Office before the Messiah can measure for drapes.

I’m glad to see that questioning the present is en vogue among Republicans again. What took you eight years to figure it out? Oh duh, that’s rights…
Comment by Mr. Moderate — January 21, 2009 @ 6:18 pm - January 21, 2009
And so Mr “Moderate” admits that during the Amnesty debate, the spending battles, the Harriet Miers nomination, the Ramos and Compean controversy, the TARP bailout, Condi Rice’s overtures to Hamas, the No Child Left Behind Act, the Prescription Drug Giveaway, the signing of McCain-Feingold, the refusal to veto the porktacular highway bill… and all the other times Bush policies were subject to vigorous criticism… he was in a cave, on Mars, with both fingers in his ears, constructing an elaborate fantasy world in which no one on the right ever criticized or opposed Bush.
Comment by V the K — January 21, 2009 @ 6:47 pm - January 21, 2009
What V the K said.
What you don’t get, Mr. Moderate, is the deference between dissent and blind, screaming petulance. The Right has been on Bush’s case non-stop over the past eight years. We just don’t tend to march through the streets, comparing him to hitler and blaming him for everything that goes wrong in the world.
You see, when the Right questions the president it’s on ideological grounds. When the left questions the president, it’s because he’s Chimpy McBushitler.
Comment by Ronnie Gipper — January 21, 2009 @ 9:32 pm - January 21, 2009
I can’t wait to put on my DISSENT IS PATRIOTIC T-shirt! Oh, wait a minute. It’s not fashionable anymore, is it? Well, what’s old is new, I say!

“difference”
Comment by Ronnie Gipper — January 21, 2009 @ 9:51 pm - January 21, 2009
I have had that bumper sticker on my car since shortly after the election. Some of my Liberal neighbors have asked me why I am being so negative towards Obama? When I tell them its no worse than all the anti-Bush ones I have endured for eight years, all they can do is give me that blank, blinking “South Park” stare.
Comment by LCRW — January 21, 2009 @ 9:52 pm - January 21, 2009
Yes I’ve been reminded of the one person who bothered to ask the chosen one a direct question during the campaign was investigated by the Ohio democrat party illegally. So as we dessent from the socialist policies of the new President we should be prepared for wire taps and door knocks in the nite. You know like the Nazis did.

#0 – Bruce – Some feedback for the designer. I forget if you know him, but if you do, please pass this along. I’d like to get the T-shirt. But it’s not a T-shirt design. It’s clearly a bumper sticker plastered on a T-shirt. Doesn’t look right. Can we get more of a T-shirt design? Thanks man.

“Tell that to Joe the Plumber.”
So what if he is biased, that makes him like all the other journalists.
You know why I like that guy? I don’t necessarily like his reporting, but I like the fact that he is out there in a dangerous area trying to uncover facts. Sure he appears to be looking for the facts he wants, but the truth is no other “journalist” in the West is even doing that much. They just buy stories from locals, locals who just like joe the plumber, not necessarily trained in journalism or even interviewing anyone, just local people writing stories, and bought and reproduced by Reuters and AP as if that were news. So on one hand they criticize him, on the other hand they are buying stories from local Joe the Plumbers.
This is why there have been so many scandals of propaganda making it past their researchers, like the pic of the ambulance that was supposedly hit by a rocket.
The point is, if Joe the Plumber is not conducting journalism, then Reuthers and AP are not as well.
