Did Sugar Cookies Cure my Headache?
For the better part of Tuesday, I was suffering a mild headache, but didn’t want to take a Tylenol because I’d read that the less frequently you take analgesics, the more quickly your body fights pain on its own.
Well, the pain lingered all day, without incapacitating me. When I drove downtown to have dinner with a friend, he gave me a box of cookies that I had left in a grocery bag with chips I had given him.
Even after a delicious home-cooked meal, the headache would not go away. So, on a whim (or a craving?) and against my better judgment, I dove into those sugar cookies. With each bite, my headache eased. I made it home without taking a Tylenol.
So, now I’m wondering if I’ve discovered a new method of treating headaches.
But, will eating sugar cookies make my body respond more quickly to headaches? Or will it make me crave such sweet treats all the more?

I saw a show on the Discovery Channel (or maybe it was the Hitler Channel) that said our bodies when they sense a deficiency will crave food sources that contain the vitamin or mineral or whatever that we are deficient in.
Apparently, my body is chronically deficient in a vitamin that is only found in Roy Rogers fried chicken.

There must have been an image of Obama in at least one of the sugar cookies…

#2 – I thought I saw an image of Obama yesterday, but I flushed too quickly to be sure of it.

When I have a bad case of “wine flu” I find that a visit to Ben and Jerry’s cures what ails me.
We don’t have Roy Rogers, but Popeye’s has been known to provide a cure as well.

That must be updated from my son’s saying: I’m dropping some Cosby’s off at the pool.

Back to the cookies, Dan, enjoy them! So you spend an extra 10 minutes at the gym. A good old fashioned cookie is better than drugs any day.

Glucose (sugar) is “brain food”. (It’s one of the few nutrients that crosses the blodd – brain barrier.) So if your brain was hurting for energy, the sugar cookies helped.

Now a package of PF Milanos will cure anything.
BTW,
“Remember when ‘certain people’ weren’t allowed on golf courses? Pepridge Farm remembers.” From Family Guy
Lately, I’ve been craving some butterfly porkchops done up in Shake n Bake and seriously considered driving to Denny’s at 3AM for some link sausage. Now if I could just get some fried Catfish from Mississippi.

OK, I’ll chime in. When I can’t sleep and Hubby is busy snoring next to me, it’s usually time for a Jumbo Jack (hold the ketchup) and/or chicken sandwich with bacon.

Your blood sugar was probably low. Which is why you felt like eating the cookies
