Roberto, it was also Hillary who said (I mean SHRIEKED) that dissent was patriotic too. So just call me Sam Adams.

And pour one for me too. Patriotism is hard work.

Joe Biden said an increase in the tax rate for the top tier would be patriotic. Maybe Geithner, Daschle and Killefer were just waiting for an opportunity to be patriotic.

what you fail to understand is that rich liberals aren’t as selfish as rich conservatives.

Which is why the Obama Party seems stuffed to the gills with rich liberals who skip out on their taxes.

If bob were consistent, he would be blasting these selfish pigs. But once again, bob isn't consistent; he's merely an Obama shill who will do and support whatever the Obama Party tells him.

In the winter of either 94 or 96 (can't remember which), the midwest and east were hit with subzero temperatures and ice storms. In local papers and on local newscasts, stories about people freezing to death were covered. But not in the national papers or networks. No, there were house fires in California, fires that didn't kill a single human being, but since they were big celebrity houses in California, the fires got all the press.

My goodness, the leftwingnuts certainly are cranky. They spent eight years educating the nation on how to blame Bush for everything and getting the "nattering nabobs of negativism" to howl incessantly and now they cry and whimper when the students demonstrate what they have learned.

My car acquired a huge repair bill yesterday. This is a depression worse than the days of Noah and the flood and Big Oil has kept me from owning a perpetual motion machine that enhances the environment and creates excess energy when I drive it and feeds the poor and cures cancer. I can only wait by the mailbox for the government check and look to government for solutions to all of life's big problems and petty annoyances. Hey, look! There is a piece of litter by my mailbox. I will have to go call 911 and have someone come by and pick it up.

If they don't come soon, I will call Obama and he will Organize them into action. Hoo-ray for Hollywood, we have finally got the nation we deserve.

Obama in office a few days + Kentucky = Obama’s fault.
Bush in office for months + 9/11 = Clinton’s fault.
You guys are absolute jokes.

Clearly Chairman Obama can't control the weather, much to many liberal's chagrin. Nice to now you at least know that. Nothing can be done to stop it. Make sure you tell Algore.

HOWEVER, lord BJ had ample opportunity to put the kibosh on bin Laden and al-Qaida if he had wanted to. Problem was that he didn't want to because he was screwing interns while sucking the cocks of garbage that would rather see 9/11 happen than to hurt the feelings of "those brown people".

Sorry. Bush received a very vague PDB. BJ received requests to apprehend and/or kill bin Laden. Now, tell me again which one didn't give a shit???

While your at it, please explain to me how stealing documents and poking Chris Wallace does a damn thing to protect the country.

Um, Jimmy, why don't you actually address the point of the post? We never said it was Obama's fault. We are faulting his reaction. And the hypocrisy of the media in not calling him to account.

Of course liberal Democrats are more giving because they ‘care ” more about the downtrodden.

It's comical how liberals just assume things. Of course liberal Democrats are more giving because they 'care " more about the downtrodden.
WRONG. Another study that says conservative Republicans give more than leftists Democrats. Dems are just plain frauds. They talk a good game but man, they don't give, they don't pay taxes. It seems they are a bunch of loud mouthed "do as I say, not as I do" creeps. Kinda like ALGORE, J F Kerry, Ted Kennedy, you get the idea.

There are always exceptions, though. I'm an atheist, but consider myself pretty generous (when my poverty allows it, of course). Then again, I'd say a good chunk of secular conservatives take a Randian approach to charity.

Brendan:

The single biggest predictor of someone's altruism, Willett says, is religion. It increasingly correlates with conservative political affiliations because, as Brooks' book says, "the percentage of self-described Democrats who say they have 'no religion' has more than quadrupled since the early 1970s." America is largely divided between religious givers and secular nongivers, and the former are disproportionately conservative. One demonstration that religion is a strong determinant of charitable behavior is that the least charitable cohort is a relatively small one -- secular conservatives.

Well, there it is.

bob said: what you fail to understand is that rich liberals aren’t as selfish as rich conservatives.

Actually, you're quite wrong about that. Studies show that conservatives give more to charity than liberals do. Maybe it's because they don't expect the government to wastefully do it for them.

what you fail to understand is that rich liberals aren’t as selfish as rich conservatives.

What? Like Geithner? Daschle? Maybe you mean the Clintons or the Obamas? The problem with your ASSertion is that it's factually untrue:

did you ever think that perhaps they are looking out for what they believe is best for the country, not only caring about what is best for their bank account?

Not in the slightest. Given the failure after failure after failure of EVERY attempt liberals make to pretend that they give a shit about anybody other than themselves, I have no reason to think that they might.

And I'll tell you one damn thing, gutting the military isn't very charitable to those "poor & uneducated" soldiers liberals love to revile.

i have no idea what you’re trying to say here.

Indeed. Not surprised that you don't get it.
