Never waste a perfectly good crisis.

When you are conducting class warfare, you have to keep the grumbling foot soldiers motivated.

Che Obama knows the drill.

And can anyone tell me why Obama never misses a beat telling the world that things are getting worse and worse? Is he too stupid to realize that the economy can be talked down? Or is he evil.

Evil.

He comes from the party who's been trying to convince us we've been in a depression for the past 8 years.

Notably, they're the same ass hats who believe that a Koran can be flushed down a toilet, that Iraq is engaged in a bloody civil war, that we torture people, that people who drink the water they piss in are better than we are, that a Super-Duper, Double Secret CIA agent was "outed" by Bush etc. etc. etc.

So Cal I had the same thought about Obama talking down the economy. As usual I don't think the Dems care about real people, real things. All the care about is the politics of the thing. If he can talk down the economy enough, any progress the next 4 years will be credited to him especially with the help of the MSM.

McCain is fighting the good fight here but I think political-industrial complex has it in for the country.

I see where BofA and Citibank (billions of TARP money) are spending it on stadium naming rights. And I read that BofA, fresh from another "injection" of our money and busily firing workers, has just "donated" another $2 million to ACORN.

Asinine is the kindest word I can think of.

And can anyone tell me why Obama never misses a beat telling the world that things are getting worse and worse? Is he too stupid to realize that the economy can be talked down? Or is he evil.

I'm not suggesting that he be a pollyanna but, once in a while, he could point out a bright spot here and there. Scaring the bejesus out of people everyday is not going to get things moving.

Or how about letting us drill for our own oil? Creates jobs at NO cost to government, increases tax revenue to states and the federal government.

Oh rats, I forgot, we're weaning ourselves from oil. Never mind.

Not on topic, but when will you be addressing the situation with Pajamas Media disbanding their Media Blogger and advertising network? Is that going to effect the future of this blog?

How about an across-the-board corporate tax cut of, say, 15%? How about deregulation of state line commerce laws? How about a payroll tax deduction/cut? How about transportation deregulation such as CAFE, light and heavy rail transit speeds, and opening highway construction to private, competitive bidding rather than through state DsOT? How about cutting unnecessary federal offices such as the Rural Electrification and Wood Products boards, trimming the Commerce, Education, and Transportation Depts., and freezing the spending levels for research grants to universities and hospitals?

Somehow making government smaller or even keeping it at its current size just never occurs to these people.
