AP “Reporter” Can’t Let Go of his Bush-Hatred

In an article on President Obama’s first flight on AIr Force One, AP “reporter” Mark Smith couldn’t resist making some gratuitous digs at the president’s predecessor.  The article led the Yahoo! headlines and it made me wonder if, eight years ago, AP had commissioned a similar piece on that good man’s first flight on the presidential plane.

Did Mr. Smith need mention the “bitter 2000 recount battle” in recalling that flight?

But, here’s the real evidence on his animus against W.  Take a gander at the paragraph on the first President Bush’s first flight as president on the presidential jet:

In 1989, Bush’s father, a former Navy pilot, took his first Air Force One trip as president to the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia. Long before his son’s notorious “Mission Accomplished” speech, Bush spoke on an aircraft carrier — about wasteful military spending.

What does that supposedly “notorious” speech have to do with his Dad’s flight on Air Force One?

Wow, just like Keith Olbermann, these guys just can’t let go of their hatred of George W. Bush.

  1. maybe you all should get over it….that mental midget Bush is going to remain a laughing stock for a long time. Without a doubt, the dumbest president in the history of the nation. Im just waiting to see how that post-presidential speaking career is going to go – he did tell a writer his goal is to get the highest speaking fees of any former president in history. I’ll be keeping track…

  2. Kevin, thank you for putting a smile on my face.

Telling us to get over it? Where you have to insult Bush even as he’s left the building. What accounts for your obsession?

Did Bush tell a writer that? If so, I’m sure it was in jest, but I guess you Bush-haters just can’t understand humor, wanting to see the man exactly as you imagine him.

The more he fades from the scene, the more convinced I am that history will render a better judgment on his Administration than have the contemporary media and his political adveraries.

  3. Dan, I recommend that we give the Dhimmicrats’ choice for president the same kind of respect and treatment that they gave George W. Bush for the past 8 years.

And trust me – The Snob has earned it.

  4. Given that Kevin claimed the Bush administration was going to put all gays into concentration camps, it really seems funny that he thinks anyone believes a single word he says.

  5. And ND30, if you look at the recent bill introduced by Rep Alcee Hastings (D-Fl), it asks for the creation of “government-sponsored camps” for the general populace in terms of a “national crisis.”

THOSE are going to be the re-education camps, mark my words.

I’m getting my pink triangle and tattooed number ready.
