UPDATE: More pithy critiques below the jump:
Jonah Goldberg: “The stimulus bill was a bridge too far, an overplayed hand, ten pounds of manure in a five-pound bag. The legislation’s primary duty was never to stimulate the economy, but to stimulate the growth of government, the scope of the state” (Once again, via Glenn).

I think Michelle Malkin’s “Generational Theft Act” is pretty good. But what I don’t like about most descriptions is they don’t come anywhere close to conveying the true corruption of this bill.
As Rahm Emmanuel made clear from the outset, Democrats intended to USE this crisis to their advantage. After 40 years in the majority, they found themselves in the minority for 12 years, and the true evil of this bill is that Democrats are using crisis to steal the American people’s independence and make them forever dependent on big government and Democrat majorities.
So far the best I’ve been able to come up with is “the Democrat Donor Payback and Permanent Majority Act,” but even that doesn’t begin to express the true evil nature of this bill.

- Leviathan Act of 2009
- Great Sucking Maw “Budget” Act
- Democrat Wish List AND The Kitchen Sink Act
- The budget bill too large for your average consumer grade calculator – a budget so large that exponents are needed (The 1 x 10E12 and Change Act) on top of the 7.5 x 10E9 bailout.
