The Crux of Obama’s Case for his “Stimulus”

February 7, 2009 by GayPatriotWest

We need action now.  Congressional Democrats have cobbled together a comprehensive plan.  I support this plan.  Unless you support it too, you favor doing nothing and so prolonging the recession.

As Fred Barnes puts it, “The more public support his bill loses, the more Obama embraces fear-mongering. ‘The failure to act, and act now,’ the president said last week, ‘will turn a crisis into a catastrophe.’”

Rich Lowry believes Obama’s central argument for the “stimulus, “I won,” “is a symptom of the intellectual collapse of the case for his stimulus bill, a congressional spendfest untethered from its stated goal of providing a rapid ‘jolt’ to the economy.“  Rich also observes how the president’s campaign rhetoric which would suggest opposition to such as spendthrift package.

It’s just getting worse. Now it seems that Obama Party judicial appointments are using their position to publicly mock political candidates they hate.

The douchebags over at Live QnA are already calling Republicans “unpatriotic”. Nevermind that Republicans meet Joe Buffoon’s definition and liberals don’t.

    Huh?

We need action now. Congressional Democrats have cobbled together a comprehensive plan. I support this plan. Unless you support it too, you favor doing nothing and so prolonging the recession.

Everyone running around like a chicken with its head cut off is “action.” Perhaps “action” has becomes the third leg of the “hope” and “change” stool.

Democrats shut Republicans out in a massive show of “bipartisanship” and loaded up a garbage scow with everything that ever stimulated them. No hearings, no conference of governors, no G-8, just Barney, Nancy, Harry, Chuckie and their band of bumbling brothers operating undercover in the dark of night.

This “comprehensive plan” ruins the meaning of comprehensive. Nothing about it is comprehensive. It is a kitchen sink plan.

Since I have been given the choice of supporting this full view robbery of the general welfare of ourselves and our posterity or doing nothing, I will opt for doing nothing.

Perhaps the recession will deepen and be prolonged. Perhaps cooler heads will prevail and targeted stimulus that stimulates will be openly addressed, argued and enacted.

Obama has mounted a charge with this stinker of a bill and he is going to go full tilt in every direction at once with no strategy and no “exit plan.”

I paraphrase Teddy Kennedy: This is Obama’s Viet Nam.

The Congressional Budget Office says that doing nothing would be more effective than this “stimulus” bill would.

No need to listen to those Bozos, though, unless they agree with what you’re saying.

After all, nearly 40% of Americans think Obama & Gang “must do SOMETHING.” This is definitely SOMETHING. (And if Jimmy Carter doesn’t think it’s simply wonderful, I’d be surprised.)

I remember another boob, Meryl Streep screech to Congressional hearings about the apple alar warnings…”you’ve got to do something”!!!!!!
Then a year later it was determined it was all incorrect data. Nevermind.
Meanwhile businesses were strapped with expensive and excessive tests and recalls. Nevermind. boobs.

Gene, you can call them all “Emily Litella Republicans” because they all start with misinformation and then end their diatribe with the words “Never Mind.”

#6 – Make that “Emily Litella Democrats,” but some like Snowe, Collins, Hatch and McCain would also fit the bill as well.

Wait, Obama is being hypocritical by using fear and agitation after criticising others for relying on fear and agitation? Is anyone surprised? 😐
