NO BLOOD FOR OPIUM!

February 18, 2009 by GayPatriot

Shouldn’t that be now be the rallying cry for the Sixties wackos who have been protesting, sans bathing, for the past seven years?

Welcome to Obama’s War!

U.S. President Barack Obama announced Tuesday that he is sending two additional combat brigades to Afghanistan, marking the start of what many believe will be an escalation that will ultimately see the U.S. forces there double.

There are some 36,000 U.S. troops already in Afghanistan, and the additional 17,000 alone represent a nearly 50 percent increase.

No Blood For Opium!  No Blood For Opium!

You want more hypocrisy? The president who just signed the biggest spending bill in history, the president who is giving us the biggest deficits in history, the president who just proposed $75 Billion in more spending to bail out the financially irresponsible, is lecturing Americans that “all of us must learn to live within our means again.”.

And I’m really curious to see what (if anything) the lefties’ Dear Leader is going to do about Pakistan.. which:

    – Is the real problem, in harboring the Taliban
    – He all-but-promised to invade, during the 2008 campaign
    – Has recently all-but-surrendered to the Taliban

Well THANKS A BUNCH, V the K. Obama’s comments send chills up my spine (as opposed to thrills up my leg). A fairly wealthy friend, who “formerly voted Republican” was enthralled with Obama. Sure, he’d likely raise taxes, sure he’d favor the poor, but “It’s important that everything not only BE fair, but that it APPEARS to be fair,” my friend said. So Obama’s comment seems like deja vu: “Government must take responsibility for setting rules of the road that are fair and fairly enforced.” Yes, “fairness” is so very important, and the APPEARANCE of fairness is just as important. Barack shall define “fair.”

And it’s important that we all take responsibility for our actions: “Banks and lenders must be held accountable for ending the practices that got us into this crisis in the first place. Individuals must take responsibility for their own actions.” As always, exceptions will be made, especially for the CRA and those who forced the banks and lenders to do that which “got us into this crisis.” We can’t be investigating Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, or even poor Maxine Waters, who proudly proclaimed that Franklin Raines was doing “an exemplary job,” as Raines cooked the books at Fannie to enhance his bonuses.

It is going to be SUCH a long 4 years.

You guys are hilarious! I’m glad to see that modern psychiatric drug therapies haven’t made it into your medicine cabinets! I do enjoy a good chuckle from reading this stuff.

I mean wasn’t it just like three months ago on here that every other post was a complaint about irrational “Bush Hating” liberals. I’m still waiting for one of you to get a dictionary and read the definition of irony and hypocrisy. But until then, keep up the good work. I can use the laughs and I only hope you’ll get nuttier in this and other threads. 🙂

I didn’t attend public schools so I’m a quick learner. I learned a lot the past 8 years. Obama is a bum, he’s getting us into a quagmire in Afghanistan. The commanders there wanted 30,000 troops, Obama is sending half that. It’s no surge. And won’t be successful. Pray for the troops under this commander. He’s inept. Why won’t he listen to his Generals? Where is the inquiry. Why doens’t Obama back the Generals and the troops? The media should be allowed to film any and all returning caskets from Obamas Afghanistan conflict. Please pray for the undermanned troops and their families.

#9: What’s your point, lowercase george?

Don’t YOU find it ironic that Obama seems to be following the Bush playbook here (troops, wiretaps, Gitmo, rendition)?

Hi george. Here’s a timely example of irony and hypocrisy- your president preaching responsibility while raping the taxpaying citizens who are responsible to pay for the stupidity of HIS voters who are utterly irresponsible. Then there’s the irony of his tax-cheating pal who is now in charge of the IRS. And don’t forget the Dems expanding welfare benefits in porkulus within days of obama heralding his new ‘era of responsibility’ “What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility — a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world.” I guess he forgot to mention the welfare class is the exception.

While we’re on the subject of responsibility, we can talk about congress and obama raking CEOs over the coals publically because they accepted public money but whoa to anyone who talks about personal responsibility of the welfare class and their constant bitching about needing more and more from the teat. While I agree that companies accepting public funds (which they’ll repay with interest) should be held to certain standards, I also think individual recipients of public assistance should be held to certain standards (regular drug testing, mandatory job training and placement with exception to disability or extreme illness, no children born while on public assistance, etc) but bring that up and libs freak out.

Personal responsibility and accountability shouldn’t only be for productive, taxpaying citizens. However, if that’s the way it’s going to be, then they should be the only ones with voting rights.

There’s a new Murtha Democrat scandal brewing. It could clean out 25% of the House members. 62 Democrats , 42 Republicans. I say let’s go. Clean em out. This Obama Democrat party stinks like dead fish.

With a Democrat president and a Democrat Congress, watched over by a Democrat-lovin’ press, it seems unlikely that we’ll be hearing about any Democrat scandals. And fur shur there won’t be congressional inquiries and hearings about Murtha or any other Democrat who, oops, just made a mistake. Depending on the malfeasance, the wrongly-accused will be lucky if he isn’t offered a cabinet position.

#18 – And who exactly is Richard Holbrooke to say what is and is not able to be publicly condemned? Last time I checked, he was not exactly in the top echelon of The Snob’s cabinet. And God forbid, he was THISCLOSE to becoming a Secretary of State if John F-ing Kerry had won in 2004.

Next thing you know, you’ll be quoting Sandy Berger about the need for security for classified documents.

I’m glad to finally see this. I think letting the invasion of Iraq take priority at the expense of truly supporting the Afghans and defeat of the Taliban was Bush’s biggest mistake. I imagine we might not have this mess with the terrorists running things in parts of Pakistan. Pakistan is not our friend.

#22 – Somewhat agree with you; the war in Iraq could have been better planned, but remember it’s easy to Monday-morning quarterback “what could have been” based upon the now-discredited intelligence info we received from the UK, France and Russia.

And I totally agree on your last line – Pakistan is not our friend. And I guarantee you that India feels the same way.
