LA Tea Party, Fri. Feb. 27 @ 9 AM, Santa Monica Pier

Looks like LA is joining the ranks of cities hosting tea parties to protest the Obama Administration’s fiscal recklessness.

I got my sunglasses ready:

Looks like I’ll be heading out to the Santa Monica Pier on Friday morning February 27 from 9 to 10 AM. For more information, check the party’s facebook page.

  4. Umm…. Friday morning morning I’ll be at work in Burbank. I hope enough people can make it on Friday to make this worthwhile. No offense, but am I the only one working on Friday?

  5. let the velvet revolution begin! People stand up to this power hungry, arrogant President who 57 million people didn’t vote for. Did he promise to help out only the losers in America? I think not.

  6. Friday?! I gotta work for a living. They gotta make these things on the weekends.

  7. one wonders why you never held this protest a year or two ago…

Because there weren’t people who didn’t pay their own taxes threatening to raise taxes on the productive and use them to buy off people who made stupid and irresponsible decisions, gillie.

Instead, you were busy protesting as “war crimes” all the policies like no constitutional rights for Gitmo detainees, wiretapping, extraordinary rendition, and enhanced interrogation that your Obama has now embraced and made his own.

Better question: why aren’t you out protesting? Could it have something to do with the fact that you fully support all of the above when the Obama Party does them?

  8. I’ll be missing it because, even though I’m a tax-supported research biologist in academia, I do have this thing called a “job on weekdays”.

Good luck to this — sincerely — but I wish it’d been scheduled for at least a weekday evening, or (better yet) a weekend.

  9. one wonders why you never held this protest a year or two ago…

Because we didn’t have a pompous ass spending $8 TRILLION dollars of money we don’t have.

I agree with NDT. Please tell us how you can support this. That is, if you have any credibility.

And yeah, why a weekday morning, for dumbshitssakes?

You mean you actually have a job? Maybe you could find someone else to flip the burgers that day.

  17. In Seattle right now so can’t make the Santa monica event. There is one here at westlake park. If I could find the place I’d go!

  18. Give me market failure or give me death!

That’s great. :-) The left-liberal’s slogan. No government program is too big, too small or too wasteful if it will interfere with the market (as it always does) and create failure.
