Time to Tie Democrats to Pelosi (& Reid)

Remember how eagerly White House Chief of Staff and his friends in the media were to dub Rush Limbaugh the leader of the GOP, given a poll which showed the conservative talk show host “was deeply unpopular with many Americans, especially younger voters.

Well, a new CBS poll shows that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has a favorable rating slightly below that of the  conservative talker.  Limbaugh’s favorable is the same as that of the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid (albeit based on a 2007 poll).

While Limbaugh’s unfavorable rating is slightly above that of the San Francisco Democrat, “more know or have an opinion about Limbaugh: 41 percent “Don’t know” or have “no opinion” on Limbaugh, yet, as noted above, 47 percent offered that reply when queried to assess Pelosi.

And this from a poll noted for favoring Democrats.

Given that Pelosi’s Democrats colleagues elected her to a position of leadership, an honor Limbaugh does not enjoy, it’s time that Republicans adopt the Begala-Emanuel-Carville strategy and tie all Democrats to the House Speaker.  After all, the next national elections coming up are congressional ones, and all House Democrats did indeed vote for Mrs. Pelosi.

UPDATE:  I don’t think this will help encourage Mrs. Pelosi’s popularity, Pelosi says enforcing immigration laws is “un-American”

I don’t use words like “idiot” lightly, however…

  4. V the K, many more incidents like this and Obama’s going to start getting the sympathy vote.

Have you seen the video of Nancy addressing Hispanics in California and expressing her view that enforcing our immigration laws is un-american? She’s a real brain trust. And CERTAINLY not a pandering politician, NOOOOOO.

  5. #3 Obamateleprompters blunder during St Patricks Day festivities is being embargoed by the main stream media. So as to not furthur embarass the Fuheur. “We need a strong leader, a strong President during these challeging times we don’t need to be embarassing Obama at this time.”

  6. Well, first Nancy Pelosi (agreeing with Michigan-Matt) calls enforcement of America’s immigration laws “Un-American.”

And now, in more Orwellian Newspeak from President Teleprompter’s Regime: There’s no such thing as terrorist attacks. We call them “man-made disasters” now. Because it’s less judgmental, this way. The word “terrorist” is harmful to the self-esteem of perpetrators.

  9. Although I usually vote Democratic I think Democrats in the House and Senate erred in naming Pelosi Speaker and Reid Senate Majority Leader.

Then I am reminded that Republicans let a guy named Tom DeLay run the House (and virtually sell it to K Street). And GOP leaders in both the House and Senate made an art out of earmarks. And then there’s that boob of Senator from Iowa who suggested that Wall Street executives commit suicide.

So in other words, you’re making excuses for the fact that you and your Obama Party are doing exactly what you are loudly criticizing Republicans for doing.

Why don’t you demand Pelosi’s resignation and imprisonment on criminal charges, like you did for DeLay?

  12. As Hot Air points out today, we sure did dodge a bullet by not electing Sarah Palin, didn’t we? I mean, imagine how incompetent she would have been. I bet in her first two months in office she would have quadrupled the deficit, appointed corrupt and incompetent cronies to her cabinet, crashed the stock market, insulted our allies with her ineptitude, thrown lavish parties while Americans worried about the economy, picked a fight with a talk show host (and lost), and required a Teleprompter just to get through a simple nominating speech.

Man, we sure are lucky we didn’t elect anyone THAT stupid.

  13. Well she is allowed to be unpopular, I think democrats would rather her be unpopular than Obama. She is the one who is crafting the agenda and getting it passed, not matter what she has to do to get it through. I am not sure how effective it would be to pin her as the leader of the Dems when the President is a democrat. He is the one broadly shaping agenda directions and she is just the agent to carry it out.

I personally think the whole approach of going after Obama’s underlings won’t work in the long run. It might help to pick off their seats, though Pelosi is more than safe in her district. I think it would be better to go after Reid, who is more likely to have a serious challenge.

  20. Funny how boob think that noboby knows Reid and Pelosi, when their names have been splashed across the MSM since the Dhimmicrat Congress was sworn into office in 2007.

Incidentally, that’s when the economy started to tank. Coincidence? I think not.

  21. according to conservative pollster rasmussen, 30% of americans don’t know enough about reid to have an opinion of him. the “no opinion” response for nancy pelosi has fallen, however (11%).

  22. So, 30% is ‘average’.

  23. 30% is pretty substantial, livewire, and let’s not forget that there are probably a fairly large number of people who want to pretend like they know who these people are when they really don’t.
