Obama’s Cowboy Domestic Policy

March 31, 2009 by GayPatriotWest

Remember when, not so long ago, right-thinking people in the media and think tanks faulted then-President George W. Bush for his go-it-alone “Cowboy Diplomacy.”  Well, now that good man’s successor has adopted a similar strategy for addressing certain domestic crises.

Turns out the president didn’t even consult lawmakers from his own party, including those representing the state where the auto companies have their headquarters, before delivering his “ultimatum to U.S. auto manufacturers:”

Michigan’s senior Democratic senator, Carl Levin, said Obama didn’t ask for advice when he told lawmakers of the move in a Sunday call from the Oval Office to force GM CEO Rick Wagoner to resign, which caught Washington and Detroit by surprise. “He didn’t ask us about it, he informed us,” Levin said.

I’m sure the MSM will be quick to condemn the president for acting without congressional input, just as they were during the previous Administration.

I get the analogy you’re drawing, but I might call it Obama’s ‘Acorn’ domestic policy. His solution to everything is to throw acorns at it – both money and activists, preferably ACORN-trained ones – in a fashion that is nuts.

And Dorothy wishes she could go back to Kansas.

We were taken in. We made the mistake of believing the campaign rhetoric was, for once, the truth on the strength that it was being said by a black man, perceived by most to automatically be a man of and for the people. From his nasty decisions about who would do what at his swearing in, through his abandonment of social policies that put him in office, through his current right-of-center politicing, he’s proven that skin color REALLY doesn’t matter after all. Politicians are all, save maybe one, or two unelectable ones, a******s, out for their egos and later personal enrichment, ala Reagan.
This was his best time to work changes that he can never accomplish later. Yes, he’s confronted with overwhelming domestic spending issues, but the working class, blue-collar, or even lower, low-skilled labor pool, has been tossed, like twigs, on the fire, in favor of Bushesque spending bills that favor phantom future college grads, but do nothing for the millions of starving, suffering, unseen unemployed and homeless. He has already failed at his presidency. He will never get a second term. He only needed a few months to do it, it turned out. And now, the rich are getting richer again, and bailed out with worker’s money, the poor are sh**canned. Does anyone still think that he was a better choice than Hillary? If there was ever more proof that a 2-party system doesn’t work, can anyone remember it?

    We were taken in.

    In other words: “OBAMA LIED!!!(tm)”

Assuming DA’s comment is on-the-level, then why is the left-liberal’s plan for Utopia continually being thwarted by others’ lies? What is wrong with the world – i.e., all of us? From “BUSH LIED!!!(tm)” back through “STALIN LIED!!(tm)” and long before, the betrayal of Utopia is never the fault of the left-liberal or *his* poor judgment and warped, wrong ideals. Oh well, DA, at least you can admit the Dear Teleprompter is a liar. That’s something.

It looks like Obama is going to toss GM into bankruptcy. But this is not Nixon going to China. When all the GM retirees and newly unemployed workers are thrown out into the cruel, cold capitalist world without their pensions and healthcare, Obama will come charging in to save the day. How convenient.

GM should have submitted a plan to close plants, lay off workers and stop paying the retirement benefits. Obama would not have accepted that. Now Obama is doing just exactly that. He is creating another crisis so he can jump into that much more state control of pensions, health care and what kind of cars you may drive.

Do no underestimate the Obama Politburo. They know what their goals are and they will justify any means to get there.

Obama is a Marxist and many of us knew it and have being saying it..and truly he is the Marxist in Chief…the MSM media accused Bush of his way or the highway and with Nobama they just see it as his “being cool and smart”……Sarah Palin was laughed at by the left for calling Nobama the Redistributionist in Chief..>she was correct and I think being too kind…Obama is going to push and push so that we have his fascist methods (every time I see his glossy pop art campaign poster of his face I think of Fidel Castro and Che Guevera) AND the Nobama followers in their 1984 ala chants……and not knowing what in the heck change we can believe in (I used to joke the only change you are going to get is the change in your pants pockets..well he is stripping us of that) I truly believe Nobama is doing what he is so he can create a Marxist/Socialist society which puts the Democrats in charge for another 40 years and we are so in debt that everyone will be broke, need the state for assistance for the necessities of life and be totally dependent upon his fascism/socialism/Marxist state benefits to survive….the song from Evita “Money, Money, Money” comes to mind…where Peron just kept printing money for his projects and satisfy the every day Argentines, while in the process he bankrupted the country……and I might add left Argentina a mess for the next 40 to 60 years by having it go from the richest country in South America to debt ridden and led by too many messy regimes….

I can only hope that Nobama will have one term but my guess is that David Axelrod will do everything he can at all costs to get the Marxist in Chief two terms….way too early to tell…I am still hoping that Sarah Palin is our next President..I just want that to happen so she is elected and sworn in and whether that be 4 or 8 years, time will tell. that is another topic all together.
