    Several topics

FIRST……Michelle – fashion style??? You have to be kidding. She looks like she goes to the rag bag and picks out whatever she finds first. Although, her attempt to look like Jacqueline Kennedy has at least gotten her hair done better. And have you noticed the 2 strand pearls…Now she just has to let someone with fashion sense dress her.

SECOND… HIM!!!! How dare he go overseas and criticize this country? Who does he think he is? Certainly not the commander in chief or the president! This one world order thing is really getting scary.

THIRD…. Mistreating OUR WHITE HOUSE. Who is keeping check on what is done inside? The outside has been so compromised that I shudder to think what is hapenning to priceless antiques inside.

    GO TO A TEA PARTY!!!!!

Another 650,000 Americans lose their jobs it was announced Thursday. 8.5% unemployment announced Friday. Nearly 3 million jobs lost since Obama was elected.
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/hostage_shooting
One of the newly unemployed goes on a shooting rampage killing 13.
It is the FIFTH similar shooting in just the past month in America. And where is our President? Attending fancy dinners and bumbling and stumbling thru a European visit. No one told the President and the first lady not to manhandle the Queen. No one told the President not to bow to foreign leaders, especially King Abdullah of Saudi. No one told him not to give an IPOD to the Queen full of Obama’s speeches. Lordy lordy look at all the freaks. At home flooding disasters in ND to mass shootings. Yet the first couple is living it up in Europe. One of Obamateleprompters goals in going over there was to get more help in Afghanistan. Nope, not gonna happen. France and Germany may send 40 more “trainers”. Thats’s it. What happened to the new era of cooperation with a new President? Bumbling stumbling morons. We’ve got the CLAMPETS in the White House. Obama has a town meeting in a foreign country without his host present. Who does these kinds of things? This morning it is announced Michelles visit to a hospital is canceled due to protesters. Umm is this trip a disaster or what? hehe
Come home Mr President, come home. The press here will protect you.
This morning economic savior Larry Summers is reported to have taken $2.5 Million dollars in speaking fees from…….wait for it……
    bailed out BANKS!!!!
    Crooks, Boobs and bumbling idiots.

I agree about Mrs. O. She is a total mess. Even on a good day she looks like the charwoman from hell.

I hope the White House staff nominates Michelle for What Not To Wear. I’d love to see Stacy and Clinton have at her. The fun, gay Clinton.

Off-topic: the tragic shooting in Binghamton, NY.

Wonder why the MSM is dropping this story now that we found out the assassin at the INS building was a Vietnamese-born naturalized citizen, instead of a so-called right-wing nutjob zealot.

    Makes you go “hmmmm.”

    Regards,

And by the way, when it is revealed that Michelle is wearing a house dress from J Crew the press goes gaga. Anyone else and they’d be howling with laughter. The next Jackie O….hardly. Maam I knew Jackie O, and you ‘re no Jackie O.

Peter – I didn’t know he was a citizen… I was wondering whether or not it was legal for non-citizens to purchase firearms (the were registered in his name). Guess that doesn’t matter now.

Mark Steyn makes a good point in The Corner about how the police arrived within a couple of minutes of the 911 call but waited an hour before entering the building. (Unlike the officer who responded to the nursing home a few days back who entered the building, found and shot the perp.) How many people bled to death during that hour? I’m being a Monday morning quarterback here but really.

What use is it calling the police for help when they won’t come and help? I certainly agree that just barging blindly into a situation isn’t a good thing – but an hour? I read similar criticism of the police after the Columbine massacre – police observed the perps (who deserve to be nameless) through the windows but no one took a shot.

BTW: I understand that the lady who called 911 after being shot (she played dead after being shot in the head until the a-hole left the area so she could call) later died from her injuries. Imagine the presence of mine after being mortally wounded to make a plan to call for help. A true hero, that lady.

What use is it calling the police for help when they won’t come and help?

What’s the use in calling the police for help when they wind up injured or killed? They’re not gonna do you one damn bit of good.

As emergency responders, we’re trained over and over and over again that our safety is paramount and WE come before anybody else. Whenever I arrived at an emergency scene, my first thoughts were not what could be wrong with my patient, rather, I was thinking about whether the scene was safe. What are the surroundings like? Where are the exits? Where’s a good place to hide? Would it be easier to get to the ambulance or run down the street?

I’ve been to a “routine” sick call where a woman came after me and even the cops with a butcher knife. We “know”, based on what we want and what we see on TV that rescuers are supposed to come running in the door to save the day. That just doesn’t happen.

At Columbine, the rescuers were told early on that there were explosives inside and outside of the building. In that type of situation, you don’t want to just kill the gunmen. That’s a measure of last resort. Without knowing the details, I’m going to guess that when they were seen through the window, it probably wasn’t known that they were the shooters or that they needed to be killed to stop them.

Anyways, in summary, rescuers are trained to put their safety first because they’re useless to everyone if they’re injured or killed in the process.

Thanks TGC I didn’t know all that. Very informative.

TGC – please note: I agreed that police shouldn’t just barge in without some assessment of the situation. I used to be a reserve police officer and I certainly scoped things out before going into a situation (not that I had that many situations so I’m certainly no expert). I also said I was being a Monday morning quarterback – I wasn’t there and don’t have the details.

Today’s outrage in PA (the murder of the three officers) certainly confirms that police too often wind up in situations that turn sour in an instant.

I gather from your post that you’re an EMT. I certainly agree that EMTs and firemen shouldn’t go into a dangerous situation (and I know that some “routine” calls are anything but). You’re not trained or equipped for it and it’s not your job.

So I’m minding my own business watching a hockey game out of Canada. And between periods they start talking about the Obama’s visit to the UK. (I believe the Queen is still soverign of Canada). Well they got a picture of the backs of the Queen and the first lady. Michelle has her arm across the shoulders of Queen Elizabeth. The Canadian sportcaster starts laughing and says “my, my well you can’t blame the lady, Ms Obama, she didn’t know.” So we are the laughing stock of the UK, Canada and most of the former Commonwealth. People are not suppose to molest the Queen, even if you are a guest. The same protocol lackeys who keep giving the President recorded music to give to important guests, didn’t teach the first lady proper etiquete. Sorry these people make the Clampets look good. “granney git your gun!”

I guess the message is, you better arm yourself. Because if you’re in a situation like that, the police may not help you until it’s too late.

However, the police seem to have no lack of courage when it comes to busting into the home of a blogger who’s been documenting police corruption and confiscating his computers.

Mark Steyn has a column up at Macleans detailing the “wait and see” response of the Mounties to the incident where some lunatic beheaded a fellow bus passenger.

And then, of course, the Mounties show up in all the superbutch combat gear and, in some weird parody of the secure-the-perimeter strategy that helps run up the body count at so many sieges, sat outside the bus for 4½ hours even though Mr. Li was already waving Mr. McLean’s head around, and it was clear there was no one alive in the bus except the killer. Nevertheless, the RCMP passed the rest of the night watching Mr. Li slice up the body, and eat the bits that took his fancy, while Sgt. Brown, Cpl. Smith and the rest of the boys filed occasional progress reports on the evening’s dinner theatre:

“Okay, Badger’s at the back of the bus, hacking off pieces and eating it.”

Southern Cal, she was shot in the abdomen not the head. I think the democrap police in Binghamton didn’t enter the building because it would have been politically incorrect to shoot a minority (Vietnamese). They would have been accused of ethnic profiling and racism, etc.
