April 7, 2009 by GayPatriotWest

Okay all you patriots by The Bay, here’s your chance to voice your opposition to Washington, DC about their massive spending and the stealing of your liberty.

There will actually be a New American Tea Party in San Francisco on April 15.  Thanks for the tip goes to GP Reader EZnSF.

Just don’t mention Bush’s massive spending on Iraq (including sending pallets of shrink wrapped money to corrupt Iraqis) or NCLB or the Medicare bills. Overspending without a plan is ok if you’re a Republican. Spending to get us out of a recession / jumpstart the economy and fix health care and energy is bad.
Oh, and threaten to overthrow the government if you don’t like how the election turned out. That works too. If you’re a Republican.

So sayeth the liberals who bitched about Bush’s spending, creating $400 billion in debt, but suddenly cheer about $2 TRILLION. Not to mention billions of dollars in pork.

The same folks who don’t seem concerned that their messiah LIED about spending.

the difference, TGC, is we’re spending now to help stimulate our economy, which was tinkering on the brink of depression (in case you failed to notice). there’s a huge gap right now between our economy’s full capacity and the demand. when there’s so much uncertainty out there, individuals and investors stop investing, further perpetuating the problem. sometimes you need gov’t to step in (oh the horror!). in addition, a large portion of the spending under obama is to help fix long-term problems that we’ve been kicking down the road for generations now. sure, there are huge investments up front, but in the long-run, we will be helping — not hurting — ourselves. one of the instances in which using deficit spending is valid is when you’re investing in the country, when the future generations will reap the benefits. what better long-term investments are there than energy and health care?

starting an unnecessary and costly war in iraq, meanwhile, while cutting taxes that overwhelmingly benefited the top 1% of income earners (of which i’m a part, for the record) is not responsible, and is not akin to the current spending.

#1: Are you an idiot? I won’t assume, but you should really just admit it if you are. And stop drinking the kool aid. You’ll appear much smarter, and possibly better looking, if you can admit mistakes and shortcomings.

And if you like spending so much, you’re welcome to pay some of my bills. I promise, no, PINKY SWEAR, that it will stimulate the economy!

    NCLB?
Nah, we can’t expect those union teachers to actually earn their pay. That’s why we have to kick kids out of private school, where they’re learning, and send them right back to failing public schools.

is we’re spending now to help stimulate our economy,

No. Chairman Obama is spending so he can maintain his power over the Proles.

which was tinkering on the brink of depression (in case you failed to notice).

What I failed to notice is coming anywhere near St. Carter’s days of malaise, let alone the depression the MSM commissars have been wanting us to believe in since January 2001.

when there’s so much uncertainty out there, individuals and investors stop investing,

And the liberals led by Chairman Obama are the ones maintaining the certainty. What kind of idiot would trash businesses and then expect people to invest? Everybody’s afraid of being taxed to death or hauled before Congress to explain why they have money.

sometimes you need gov’t to step in (oh the horror!).

Can you name ONE instance where the government has “stepped in” and didn’t make it worse? Can you name a single government program that’s worked? Socialist Stupidity’s a broken Ponzi scheme, there’s rampant fraud in Medicare/Medicaid, the “War on Poverty” has no exit strategy and has succeeded in keeping people poor and in the ghettos where limousine liberals don’t have to look at them, FDR kept us in a depression etc. etc. etc.

there are huge investments up front, but in the long-run, we will be helping — not hurting — ourselves.

As long as you don’t think about the massive debt, eh?

what better long-term investments are there than energy and health care?

So we’re going to drill for our own oil, mine coal and build even more nuclear plants? Lightbulbs filled with mercury from China aren’t going to get it and people aren’t going to go for the golf carts liberals want us to have. You’re not going to be able to give them away and the auto companies will have to remain under State control.

There was a time when people paid their own medical bills. At what point did it become everybody else’s responsibility? We have healthcare in this country and no, it ain’t broke. The government’s in the way, though. Somehow we have one of, if not the, longest life expectancy in the world and somehow it keeps increasing. Somehow people from other countries come here to get their healthcare because we have the best care in the world. We’re also the ones with the most medical innovations.

The American people just aren’t going to dig dying before they can get permission from Chairman Obama to be treated. They won’t fancy him deciding that the government won’t treat people because it’s just not worth it. They’re not going to dig not being able to find a doctor in their area who will see them.

starting an unnecessary and costly war in iraq,

Interesting how it was necessary until a Republican actually did it while everybody else was standing around playing pocket pool. The only people who believe it was unnecessary were those raking in the kickbacks from Hussein.

meanwhile, while cutting taxes that overwhelmingly benefited the top 1% of income earners (of which i’m a part, for the record)

Then you should be able to explain how your tax burden increased under Bush and resulted in record revenues to the treasury.

is not responsible, and is not akin to the current spending.

Revenue = bad, massive debt = good in what alternate universe?

While you’re at it, boob, I’m interested in starting my own business or at least a side job. I need about $1,000 for the training. I’ll also need a new vehicle since my truck is about to die before long. Can’t afford that right now either. A laptop would probably be pretty useful as well. Feel like writing a check?

Or is it just other people’s money you like to spend?

we’re spending now to help stimulate our economy,

Not true. The stimulus part of the porkulus doesn’t kick in until 2011. The only folks getting their money upfront are ACORN and the like.

The reason the economy broke down is because people took out massive debt to waste money on things they didn’t need. The only difference is now the government is doing the same thing on an even more massive scale.

Guys don’t forget the problem with the medicare entitlement, NCLB and other budget issues that the democrats had in the Bush Admin was they weren’t spending enough while many on the right decried the new spending. bob and tp can’t admit that.

The only spending that the left wanted to see cut was for the “murderers” (per John Murtha) “who don’t study” (John Kerry) and “kick in the doors of Iraqi’s in the middle of the night” (John again) “who are like N-a-z-i-s” (Dick Durban)

But don’t question their patriotism or support of the troops.

…Which, unlike The Dear Teleprompter’s stimulus, was both necessary and appropriate.

Also, TP, be sure you don’t let the facts get in the way of your newfound righteousness about past spending 😉

I am very bummed out that our tea party in SF is only 2 hours long and happens at noon-time. I work out of town, and could only attend an evening event, but it would have been great to meet some other conservatives in this town. I’m there with you all in spirit!
