Will “Tea Party” Counterprotests Attract MSM Attention?
Michelle reports that some liberals “are organizing their own anti-Tea Party demonstrations“:
Liberal guru Joe Trippi and government-subsidized Bill Moyers are pushing the new initiative, titled “A New Way Forward.†Hey, wasn’t Obama supposed to be your New Way Forward? Way to go!
The lefties have chosen April 11 to try and usurp media attention from the nationwide Tax Day Tea Party event on April 15. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I wonder if the MSM will pay more attention to these counterprotests than they have to the Tea Party phenomenon. The counterprotests do fit their narrative of what a protest should be.

In terms of maintaining the energy of the movement and reinforcing the necessity of replacing the major media as a watchdog group, it might be best if they did. Piss people off just that much more.

Join the Tea Party! Help the American Family Association! Go to the Tea Party and hang out with an organization that had a Holocaust Revisionists as their CA state director for years (Scott Lively)! Advocates boycotts because companies have lots of Gay employees! Will be a co-sponsor of an organization that carried water for Iran and Syria at the UN last year when they tried to stop UN Condemnation of Iranian executions of people just for being Gay (World Congress of Families)! Still has ties to Lively through alliances with Watchmen on the Walls!
The AFA is pushing this protest. Hard. I think someone ought to think if there are other protests that one could do that don’t involve the AFA.

Tom, since International Answer, a Communist front group has had a greater role in the anti-Iraq war protests, I guess that means you’ll fault them with equal verve?
And please, please, please, tell me how protesting for lower taxes and smaller government promotes the AFA?
