Biden Lies about Meetings with Bush; MSM Silent

The Vice President contends that during private meetings, he repeatedly castigated then-President Bush.  But, there’s not much substance to his “recollections” (which seem more a product of his imagination than his memory):

Aides to former President George W. Bush are challenging the veracity of Vice President Joe Biden’s claim this week of having privately castigated Bush, who does not remember the incident or an earlier episode in which Biden claims to have similarly rebuked Bush.

Biden spokesman Jay Carney declined to specify the dates of his boss’s purported Oval Office scoldings of Bush. Nor would he provide witnesses or notes to corroborate the episodes.

If a Republican were caught making things up about his meetings with a Democratic Chief Executive, there would be calls for an investigation and his resignation.

It made the Washington Post when then-Vice President Dan Quayle misspelled “potato.”  And Biden’s is a far more egregious error.  But, in my brief search to see who covered this story, I found that only FoxNews had reported the Democrat’s latest fabrications.

I probably just used the wrong keywords in my google news search.  Surely, the MSM wouldn’t miss a story like this.

  1. Surely, the MSM wouldn’t miss a story like this, if the liar had been a Republican–there, fixed it for ya!

  2. well, being that Bush was also castigated by his own party at the same time, I’m guessing it was difficult for those handlers to remember who was doing it and when. Does this mean Rove was present for each and every meeting Bush ever had with Biden?

PS – Good proofreading Fox has on its article, by the way.

  3. I believe Biden appears topless in an Eminem video, humping a moose. That Eminem is such a witty social critic who exposes the foibles of all sides. Sort of like John Stewart. Or Tina Fey. Or Stephen Colbert.

  4. Biden should apologize for his lie. He shouldn’t be allowed to just say he misspoke or had a bad recollection. Then Obamateleprompter should apologize for selecting ole Joe for VP in the first place. How embarassing.
“Stand up Chuck so we can give you a hand, stand up….oh”.
What a boob. Did Obama pick Biden for VP so he’d have a Vice President that was more gaffe and bumble prone than he was?
Bow to any Kings or Princes lately Mr President? Molest any Queens?hehe What a clown act. How come the leftists only participate in the threads that don’t pertain to the gaffes bungles and stumbles of this administration?

  5. Biden is a pathological fabulist (and plagiarizer, let’s not forget that), and the MSM is pathologically incapable of holding Democrats to one-fifth of the standards they hold Republicans to. What else is there to say?

  6. #2: “…I’m guessing it was difficult for those handlers to remember who was doing it and when.”

Kevin, why are you wasting your time pretending that the issue of proof is a relevant consideration? We all know that even if Biden’s statements were conclusively shown to be outright lies, it would have absolutely no effect on your view of his character or integrity whatsoever. So, what difference does it make? Why would you even bring it up?

  7. Remember during the campaign when Democrat Biden said, “I’m just a regular guy, come have breakfast with me sometime at Rosies on Main St in my home town I’m there most mornings.” Turns out ole Rosies had been shuttered for about 4 years. Duh boobs dummies and crooks. Nice choice Mr Obama. Makes us proud.

  8. Since we are talking about the current lies by this Obamateleprompter administration. Should I say the lies of the day…. Obama is telling people he DIDN’T BOW TO THE SAUDI KING. Would someone tell him there is a recording of the bow. Duhh dummy. Just own up to the fact that you gave the Queen a stupid IPOD, you and Michelle molested the Queen, you bowed to a Saudi King, come on Barack. Man up dude. Fess up to all the blunders, gaffes, lies and bungles, then tomorrow try to start fresh. Stay inside the WH and try not to embarass us for umm let’s say a day or two. hehe

  9. This incident is par for the course in the Obama administration. In Turkey the other day, Obama responded to a question from a student who asked whether or not the Obama administration’s policies would really be all that different from the Bush administration by acknowledging some similar points, but then by insisting that there were many differences, such as the fact that George Bush didn’t believe in global warming and Obama does. Of course, anyone who was paying attention knew that George Bush said he believed in global warming (a moment that made many conservatives roll their eyes in dismay). The difference was that thankfully Bush didn’t believe in most of the cockamamie “solutions” put forward by the environmental movement and the political left.

  10. well, being that Bush was also castigated by his own party at the same time, I’m guessing it was difficult for those handlers to remember who was doing it and when.

Surely you can specify names, dates, witnesses and/or notes on that, right? Just how many Republicans met with him in his office to “castigate” him?

  11. It is amazing that being a Democrat translates into not having to corroborate anything you say by providing witnesses. I believe that the word “substantiate” does not exist in their vocabulary. “I said it, I believe it, I stand by it” appears to be all they need in order to go public.

  12. Barack Obama made a deep bow the the King of Saudi Arabia. There is video of it that clearly shows him bowing. The unquestionable proof is there for all to see.

His White House is now lying and saying it didn’t happen.

Anyone who would tell such a blatant lie will, and probably is, lying about everything.

    Biden is just another example.

  13. Truth, objective facts, documented, conclusive evidence,…all of it is utterly inconsequential to liberals. They choose to live in a world where events and experiences exist as they WISH them to be, not as they truly are. That is why they hate conservatives so much–because we refuse to plug into their soul-possessing matrix and go along with the illusion. And they relentlessly apply their preferred vision to the past, present, and future.

Future–spending trillions and trillions of dollars will inevitably lead to universal prosperity. Of course, it can’t work, but we have to “give Obama a chance” and pretend that it will.

Present–Socialist? Me? That’s absurd, all I’m saying is that I want to spread America’s wealth around. How does that make me a socialist?

Past–Ann Coulter observed that liberals are so tireless in their efforts to re-write history that they are now fictionalizing actual events that have been documented on film. For example, Frost/Nixon. The interview itself is available for anyone to watch and experience, but liberals would prefer Nixon to be remembered as a more monstrous villain than he actually was and for good measure, to actually admit to it in a crescendo of humiliation and shame.
