I was at the Pasadena Tea Party and consider it a success. I’d say that there were 300-500 of us, a great crowd. At least KTLA (is that Channel 5 ?) reported on it a little, making it sound like we were protesting 1A ONLY and that was not the case. BTW, I’m going to the Glendale Tea Party on Wednesday.

Do you remember the leftist Cindy Sheehan and her merry band of 14 protesters outside President Bushes ranch every August? The media couldn’t get enough of it. Thank God for balanced media like talk radio and FOX News that will cover news like hundreds of thousands of anti Obamateleprompter protests Wednesday. Buckeyenutlover: Buckeye is a nut. Liberals and those hoping for handouts are really getting upset over these tea parties. You have to understand, they are afraid we will turn off the tap slowly trickling down to them. They want their “freebies” regardless of what it might cost working Americans.

If numbers are what matters to press coverage, then why di the press fall all over themselves to tag on along with an ACORN front group while like 30-40 of them road on a bus tour of the AIG exces homes in Conneticut.

Strange how the reports were that the press outnumbered the protestors 3-1 and came as far as Germany to cover the bus trip.

No, the main stream media will not cover the tea parties because it makes their annointed one look bad. That is why the tea parties have been confined to either local press or Fox News for coverage.

Stick 10 Code Pink whackos on a stand and CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSLSD, the Slimes, the Compost and the rest of the fishwraps will gladly cover it.

Um, buckeyenutlover, this is only one of hundreds (500 at one count) of protests being held across the nation.

The sheer number of such rallies is news in itself. And should each of those rallies attract 500 people, then there will be more people protesting the president’s budget than those who signed petitions supporting it. And to sign such petitions, you didn’t need be in one set place at one set time.

So, quit your knee-jerk reaction to any phenomenon whose goals you oppose and recognize reality.

I was there with Mr. CalBlog and their budding journalist daughter; she and I took turns holding signs vs. playing citizen journalist.

Mr. CalBlog and I (you know who I mean, I think) concurred that the crowd was at about 250-300, though it should be noted that Teenager #1 and I got hungry, so we left perhaps 3/4 of the way through the speaker roster.

This Wednesday, though, should be very, very big: Glendale, the Valley, and Los Angeles proper all have actions planned. I think there may be protests in nearly every county of this state.

Have you seen “A New Way Forward” website. People are making posts about having “7 and a half” people at their protest. Wow. It will be very interesting to see the amount of media coverage the Tea Parties get on Wednesday.
