LA Tea Party for Freedom; Weds. 04/15 from 3-7 PM

April 14, 2009 by GayPatriotWest

Just wanted to remind you all that tomorrow’s the day when Americans across the country will, in the tradition of our patriotic forebears, will be rallying against excessive government spending and for greater freedom.

With over 550 rallies scheduled, you’re sure to find one in a city near you, click here to find the closest place to rally.

A number of GayPatriot readers will be joining us on the Santa Monica Pier on Wednesday from 3-7 PM.  I just received word that my liberal leaning-lesbian friend who started last year’s campaign backing Dennis Kucinich, but ended up voting for McCain-Palin will be joining us.

I’ve even received word that Code Pink will be holding a counter-protest.

After we’ve taken a stand against big government, we’ll retreat to a local watering hole to celebrate a new birth of freedom in America.

I’ve taken ill with this coughing and chest congestion crap going ’round. Doubt I’ll be able to make the Lakeland party.

If Code Pinko and the other liberals want to “counter protest”, shouldn’t they be able to express what they’re supporting? Or do they even know?

12% of all porkulus dollars end up in one state. Just by coincidence… it’s Illinois!

Yeah, the right-wing sure is nuts for protesting the corruption, profligacy, and sleaze of this administration. /sarc

And what are you protesting again? A tax cut that will help 95% of American families? The lapsing of the Bush tax cuts on the wealthy that slightly increase taxes (that they can afford) below the level of taxation that existed for them under Reagan? After ignoring the wasteful spending for a war we were lied to about for the last almost 8 years? Oh, I see.
You conservatives are just tools for FNC and right-wing organizations like the one led by Dick Armey that are financing these stupid ‘tea parties’, it’s not a grass roots type of thing. If you enjoy being used, then be my guest.

#6 – “If you enjoy being used, then be my guest.”

Spoken like a true useful idiot, to paraphrase Stalin.

You are an angry little man, aren’t you? Why aren’t you so happy now that Dear Leader is in the Oval Orifice? What a wretched existence you must lead.

    I pity you.

    Regards,
    Peter H.

Notice the angry little man does not mention the real focus of the Tea Parties — The Teleprompter’s trillion dollar deficits, doubling of the national debt, no-bid contracts to ACORN, wasteful subsidies, bailouts of connected financiers, nationalization of the financial, energy, and heath care sectors of the economy…

Good luck Dan and happy trails to the pub! We’ll toast the completion of our efforts here in Michigan at a Lansing watering hole (the NuttHouse… plug, plug) about the time you all are just gearing up.

It looks like we’ll have great weather (65 & sun) and a great time here in Michigan!

    April 14, 2009 at 12:19 pm - April 14, 2009

BTW, this morning our Dem Gov Granholm said, when asked about the Tea Parties on talkradio, she understands why “taxpayers are hurting and why people ought to be upset about the Bush debt that the Obama Administration inherited” and “I think the Tea Parties are a great way to send the message to obstructionist Republicans” that “it can’t just” be “politics as usual”… “we all, in Lansing, in DC, in Detroit, we all need to pull together in this new era of Hope and Change”.

The radio talkshow host said “Those are wise words for today’s politicians” and went to a break.

Talk about spinning something wildly away from its purpose!

    V the K,
Like all conservatives you assume that quoting the facts makes one angry. I’m not angry, I’m amused at the foolishness being exhibited by all you Tea Party goers. And of course the obligatory ACORN reference.
God, use your brains for once.

Oldermann, Madcow and Chris-Hairpiece all spent inordinant-amounts of air-time last night on the “tea parties” labelling them…or was that libeling them(?)…strictly as ridiculous tax protests by out-of-touch Republican deadenders against returning to “Reagan-levels” of Federal income taxes. Not one word about the deficit, the bailouts, or the looming new massive Federal programs being proposed in the near future. I felt like I needed to mop the floor afterwards from all the drooling-sarcasm and contempt dripping put of my TV. This is not a foreshadowing liberal-socialism…it’s the cold breath of national-socialism.

Meanwhile, the MSM is oohing and ahhing about the damn-puppy….

Hey Dan – do me a favor. If and when the Code Pinkos get in your face, toss one in the water and see if she melts.

If I were there, I’d carry a sign that says “Code Pink is the reason I switched in the first place.”

Peter, did you not see my earlier comment? Dave Dreier. You know, the closet case from Pasadena who was denied the Majority Leader (when you still had a majority) position because he’s gay? That congressman. The one who votes with the homophobic right wing on gay issues. Rep. David Dreier, R-California.

I suspect turnout tomorrow across the nation is going to surprise alot of politicos. I went to the local arts and craft shop to pick up some poster paper an markers an hour ago and there were 16 people on line waiting for poster paper being brought out from the back room. Every last one of them is going to tomorrow’s tea party in Pleasanton. Interesting in a heavily democrat area.

Let’s see, what would be acceptable proof to you? Michael Rogers, who outed Ed Schrock, Mark Foley, and Larry Craig? Nah, Rogers is unacceptable. How about L.A. Weekly, which published a long article about it? Nah, they’re not a wingnut pub. You need a videotape of David D. drinking appletinis from his longstanding male partner’s navel?

So tell me, what’s the wingnut burden of proof? An article in the American Spectator?

I’ve been wondering whether this whole idea came from Gay Patriot, or from the gay patriots within Fox News?

  32. Gene on Pennsylvania says

I’m loving the tea parties. There will be twice or three times the people protesting Obamateleprompters tax and spend govenment as watches MSNBC on any given night. Obama hurts the producers and bails out the losers. Standing up to that tyranny is awesome. THE PEOPLE can do this regularly during Obama’s Presidency.

  33. Terrible Leftist says

    April 14, 2009 at 10:45 pm - April 14, 2009

The real question is whether there will be as many civilians as there are Fox “news” reporters and various lobbyists.

  34. The Livewire says

    April 15, 2009 at 6:41 am - April 15, 2009

TrLef, this isn’t the AIG home tour or anything, so the reporters won’t outnumber the protestors.

Of course also unlike AIG-tour, the reporters won’t report it in glowing terms.

The left just can’t understand a protest w/o violence.

  35. Peter Hughes says

#30 – “So tell me, what’s the wingnut burden of proof? An article in the American Spectator?”

No, an accurate news link from a reputable source will do just fine. That means excluding HuffPo, DailyKos and DU.

Unfortunately, that will probably limit your reading list. But that’s not my problem.

And so far, you have not produced a shred of proof of whether your statement of “the closet case from Pasadena who was denied the Majority Leader (when you still had a majority) position because he’s gay” is valid.

Please provide full proof of that statement, otherwise you will be considered a mere troll who spouts DNC talking points with absolutely no basis in fact.

    Regards,
    Peter H.
