Santa Monica Tea Party Report: Lesbian for Liberty
For my first report from the Santa Monica Tea party where we gather that about 400 gathered at its height. People had been coming and coming from about 1:40 or so when I got there until about 6:00 when I left.
This is my left-leaning lesbian friend, featured frequently on this blog. Left-leaning she may be, but liberty she loves.
When she was waving this sign, a socially conservative woman asked her, “Aren’t you afraid of us?”
To this my friend replied, “Are you afraid of me?”
She wasn’t. And together they continued to demonstrate their disgust at the excessive government spending the president has proposed.

Santa Monica tea party was great, a very eclectic bunch of people. Then on to Van Nuys, also in the LA area, a much larger crowd. On my way home I was listening to Kevin James on the radio, he spoke in Van Nuys. He made the comment about how clean and well behaved the crowd was. they didn’t leave behind signs or any kind of mess. I had noticed this as well.
I don’t think this administration has any clue about how galvanized average people are getting.

Congratulations on managing an orderly gathering. Keep up the good work. It is thrilling to see both sides of the political spectrum getting together. Well done, and especially to Leah and her friends.

I’m not gay, but my step daughter is gay. She sent this link to me, but I believe that I read about it in the WSJ this week. Anyway, I couldn’t care less about gay marriage and if I lived in Calf., I probably wouldn’t have even voted. However, as a conservative I accept the Vermont vote on gay marriage and believes that it offers an opportunity to effectively move for comity from other states. The Iowa court decision is bad; the issue needs to be decided at the ballot box; same for abortion.

Go lesbian for Liberty. I’m on the conservative side but also a lesbian for liberty, limited government, and the protection of the Constitution.
Our country, out money, our freedom. We need to take it back from Obama.
