Maybe it was spending the evening yesterday with conservatives and talking politics into the wee hours of the morning, but well, today I found that when I was checking the blogs I normally do, my eyes glazed over as I read about politics.
It just didn’t capture my attention. And that’s probably a good thing.
Hope to get back to regular blogging tonight or tomorrow, but let this post remind you that there are more things in the world than politics, more topics for conversation, more subjects for consideration.
Everyone needs a day off. Enjoy.
I started paying attention to politics when I was 11 or 12 (worked for Nixon in ’68 as a kid) and I don’t remember it being front and center every day of the years.
When election time rolled around, people put up yard signs and put stickers on their cars but the rest of the time, you didn’t hear all that much about it. I think our society was healthier.
I don’t think the founders intended for government to be a focal point.
Apparently GPW wasn’t the only one who needed a day off.
Check out one of Obama’s vaunted advisors that BHO has bored to death….

Boobs, morons, and cheats. NICE.
Gene, you crack me up.
GPW, although I would bet your posts re. non-political topics don’t generate as much commentary, I for one appreciate them. One of the stereotypes of those on the right is that we don’t appreciate culture (and considering the state of our current culture, the stereotype holds somewhat true for me). Leavening the blog with lighter (or at least non-political) fare is one of the reasons I like GayPatriot. Please keep it coming.
