ABC News Outs CIA Employees

Astounded. That’s the only word I can use to describe the latest bit of treason (yes, I did use that word, and I meant it) coming from the Old-School Media (I refuse to refer to them as “mainstream” anymore).

ABC News has a lengthy expose on two psychologists who helped develop the interrogation TTPs for the CIA. In doing so, they have put up these patriots’ names and faces for all America’s enemies to see, and their lives at risk.

I can’t really put into words right now the rage I’m currently seeing. I imagine that’s probably for the best. I’ll leave it to you all in the comments section to discuss.

For my part, the best I can consider is taking a (another!) page from the left-wing-nut crowd and target their advertizers. Can we get a list of them? Who (if anybody) is still advertizing on ABC, and specifically their news?

  1. This can’t true. I refuse to believe any media organization, old school or not would do this. This can’t be true.

  2. I liked their completely uncorroborated assertion that they “boasted of their salaries.”

To who? They certainly didn’t speak with the media; they’re under NDA.

I assume whoever provided the info is as well…

I agree, CP. This is a dark day indeed.

    Cordially,

  4. I thought liberals and their pals in the media were appalled at the outing of any CIA agent?

  5. Bruce – I’m sure a special prosecutor will be appointed within days (who will then spend years to convict someone who _didn’t_ leak the names).

What this country needs is for a few traitors to be tried, convicted, and shot.

  6. By the way, the sunset tonight in Denver has an odd hue. The cloud of smoke wafting down from the north is Dick Cheney’s head exploding.

I’m still utterly amazed by this.

Seriously, can someone find a list of ABC News’ sponsors? I don’t watch TV, so I can’t tune in to find out who they are.

  7. I refuse to watch any of the three networks, and instead get my entertainment from the Internet and any channels not affiliated with them.

As far as advertisers go, I refuse to do business with them too.

    Loud and proud, baby!

  8. Folks, get used to it. This is how a fiercely partisan government and complicit media work together. It’s Stalin-esque and worthy of Kim Jung Il.

Goldfarb over at TWS notes that the author of the piece is a left-wing partisan whose career “highlight” is writing for Salon.

  9. the best I can consider is taking a (another!) page from the left-wing-nut crowd and target their advertizers. Doesn’t the AFA run boycotts all the time (while trying to scare advertisers away from supporting your rights and mine, BTW)? How is boycotting advertisers a fundamentally left- or right-wing effort? Isn’t that kind of central to free speech and making your voice heard?

Two psychologists helped design the interrogations torture program used by the CIA, despite their lack of expertise in either waterboarding or interrogations torture. I realize it’s not as crucial as how many times Obama looked at a teleprompter or what was on the Queen’s iPod, but some people do consider revealing how the CIA ran interrogations torture to be newsworthy.

@4: They weren’t CIA agents, undercover or otherwise. Nice try, though.

  10. As it turns out, torrentprime, Plame Girl and her fellow Obama Party members weren’t either, according to the CIA’s rules.

But perhaps you and your fellow Obamabots can tell us how Plame Girl was an ultradoublesecrettopsecurity spy who no one was supposed to know worked at the CIA when she was driving into their Langley headquarters every morning — mainly because she had been yanked back from Europe when the CIA figured out that she had been outed to the entire Eastern Bloc by Aldrich Ames.

Answer? Plame Girl was an Obama Party member. Obama doesn’t care about secret agents; he cares about giving party hacks the titles and letting them brag on the Washington cocktail circuit, just like he sends Air Force One on photo-op joyrides with campaign contributors aboard to scare the hell out of people in Lower Manhattan.

Guess we shouldn’t concern ourselves with Obama’s AF1 photo op terrorism/torture, eh?

  12. I’m just sitting here wondering, in the dead of night, why I thought with “their” guy in the White House the press would stop undermining all US efforts in the War on Terror. I’m guessing they just see this as a shot at Bush but surely they understand that this stuff undermines the safety of this nation from this day forward. Or are they just stupid? Or is it as I think one of your other post illustrates, blind hatred eliminates all reason, judgment, or explanation?

A call to Mitchell and Jessen’s firm for comment was not returned. The CIA would not comment on Mitchell and Jessen’s work for the agency, though the contractual relationship is not one Mitchell and Jessen entirely concealed. They advertised their CIA credentials as exhibitors at a 2004 conference of the American Psychological Association in Honolulu.

  16. ABC = Traitors

    Comment by Cory — May 1, 2009 @ 10:10 am - May 1, 2009

  17. Maybe we should start outing people at ABC – you know, do a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act, for those of you from College Station) and dig up their personal history and broadcast it.

After all, when Susan Roetgen of CNN started making the news rather than reporting it, we found out a LOT of stuff on her. And now she’s yesterday’s news.

I propose we start with Charlie Gibson and Diane Sawyer, then work our way down. The only one who I’d rather let survive is Jake Tapper, who at least is somewhat fair when it comes to even-handed reporting.

The rest of them – well, they should never eat lunch in this town again.

    Comment by buckeyenutlover — May 2, 2009 @ 10:08 am - May 2, 2009

  20. #19: Read my lips: Scooter Libby did not “out” Valerie Plame.

It was Richard Armitage at State. Fitzgerald KNEW this at the outset.

  22. I’d like to congratulate Levi for posting here how upset he is at ABC outing these agents, and pushing for the prosecution of Disney. After all if Levi thinks valerie Plame’s outing herself on Who’s Who is a horrible thing. Surely he must think this is much worse.
