Is anyone else old enough to remember how LBJ’s visits to his ranch in Texas were reported? The media used to say that LBJ was at “the Texas White House.” In other words, Republican president goes to his ranch, he’s “on vacation.” Democrat president goes to his ranch, he’s “at the Texas White House.”

As for Obama’s junket to New York, the salient points have already been made. Obama has been lecturing us about our carbon footprints. Obama called the auto executives “tone deaf” for the extravagance of flying their corporate jets to Washington. What does “Bush took vacations too” have to do with Obama’s staggering hypocrisy?

Then the lefties come out and whine – Bush did it!! He didn’t have lavish parties, he didn’t make every lunch break a photo op. He didn’t fly Laura to Texas for a special Valentines date, or NY for the Theater.

We didn’t get hope, but we sure got change – to something America never had before – not a president of the people, but one who believes he is way above the people, and will shove it down our throats daily.

Bush was treated badly by the Left, as Clinton was treated badly by the Right.

Clinton was treated badly by the right? How so? Holding him accountable for lying to a grand jury is treating him badly?

Bush was, and still is, called a liar by Democrat politicians and the mainstream media, despite every bipartisan and nonpartisan report concluding that he did not. Clinton was excused for lying to a grand jury even though he admitted he did.

Bush was burned in effigy; plays, books and movies were written, produced and performed encouraging his assassination.

Bush was held accountable for the negligence of a Democrat Mayor and a Democrat Governor, despite having repeatedly begged them to allow him to step in, and despite having launched the biggest, fastest most effective emergency response in world history.

Bush was blamed for an economic collapse that he repeatedly warned (over 25 times) would happen if the irresponsible, corrupt practices at Fannie and Freddy were not reformed. Democrats filibustered those reforms and then blamed him when the inevitable happened.

How was it that poor Clinton was treated badly again?

The thing that riles so many conservatives (and others. I am sure) is that the Dems spend an awful lot of time lecturing us about our “greed” and the extravagances of the private sector and turn around and pull stunts that make Dennis Kozlowsk (disgraced CEO of Tyco) look like an amateur.

Remember all the posturing a few months back about the CEOs of the Big 3 going to DC in corporate jets? Well the price being paid for that little dose of liberal demagoguery is thousands of blue-collar jobs in places like Wichita, KS.

But some of us watched in outrage for 8 years while President Bush gave his all for the America and the left absolutely destroyed every move he made. And he did a decent job. Now Obama’s here, he’s screwing up at every turn, and it’s OUR turn to criticize. It’s our turn to be the annoying mosquito in the left’s ear. We owe it to ourselves– and, frankly, to our country– to be as unrelenting in our criticism as they were in theirs. And I can only speak for myself, but I don’t intend to go easy on anybody or be sparing in my criticism for the next 4 years.
