The pre-1995 SAABs ran the gamut of quirky Swedish engineering. 3 cylinder engines, 5 cylinder engines, the SAAB Sonnet … what’s not to like. Then the General took over and abandoned individuality for corporatism. Now SAABs are high-end European import wannabes.

Expect anything from a lack of care to out and out sabotage everywhere at FoMoCo.

Meanwhile, the Govt is going to use our money to drive all non-UAW competition back offshore.

The Big Three have been laboring since FDR under the New Deal model of relations between government, labor and management. That model is what’s slowly killed them, and it’s why their competitors like Toyota, free from these chains, has been more nimble and more able to consistently field a more quality product.

Ironically however, the leftists and Democrats have never understood this. They’ve always treated the likes of GM et al. with utter contempt ever since “Unsafe at Any Speed” and rather have considered the Big Three as symbolic of Corporate America, a hated foe. Ironically, out in the flyover sticks of the Red States and in the red counties of the blue states is where you’ve always found your Ford, Chevy and Dodge country.

It’s certainly never been Manhattan or Berkeley, or even, ironically, Ann Arbor!

As for myself, I’m a rock-ribbed conservative who has never bought anything other than a Chevy or a Ford in order to support my fellow American worker. There are many like me. I don’t know one single leftist who is like this (and I know many being in a blue, blue state these days). Nor do I know many leftists who drive American cars.

I can’t imagine they’ll start now. At least not in numbers that will correct for the defection of the likes as me. I will never, at any point in time, buy either a new or a used General Motors or Chrysler product ever again. I’m a Ford man now, hoping that Ford can survive the horrendous onslaught they face.

If it is truly time to reform healthcare by devising a single payer system then those who voted for it should be bound by their vote to participate. Shouldn’t we expect from those we elected to put their money and health where there mouth is. This is personal for me and a lot of others. It should also be personal for our representatives!

But for now, I will drive a Ford!

Re this post: I unnerstand, I unnerstand…but that 2010 Camaro is one of the truly hottest cars I’ve ever seen in my life. The debate amongst all my car buds is whether or not the people on the production line are super-motivated to put out a terrific product, or if they’re just mailing it in ’cause the gubment will meet their needs for life. I’m holding off on buying until I hear first and second hand comments about the quality of the car.

I think BO’s first five months in office have been a complete disaster…but I still support American workers — AS LONG AS THE PRODUCT MEETS OR EXCEEDS MY EXPECTATIONS.

Immediately, commit as much of the future as possible, in order to leave only your desired outcomes. Hence, single-payer hospice . . . . er . . . health care.

I was afraid of this guy pre-election. Turns out, though, that he’s way better at being what he is then I expected – he’s screwed us completely in his first 150 days. Unless Porkulus is revoked and the Census watched, he’s pretty much nailed The Machine for fifty years or more.)

There is tons of for real marketing data to this affect what has been around forever. Barack Obama is a dirty socialist and I knew that but he’s also turning out to be a surprisingly and viciously stupid dirty socialist. Mr. Soros should give him a little latitude to where he doesn’t look so damn stupid I think.

Yes, easily, because Obama owns the banks. What I can’t imagine is getting financing for a Toyota or Honda dealership.

And yes, I hope he fails too.

But my Mazda 6 is almost paid for, so I won’t be selling it just yet.
