I am, in fact, appalled that anyone over the age of 12 with an IQ greater than their height in inches is not aware of the simple fact that Nazi Germany was running their economy into the ground with their massive remilitarization efforts before WW2. The only thing that prevented economic collapse was the later conquest of Europe, which allowed them to plunder other countries.

…And this somehow validates Keynesian economics? Oy-vey!

Actually, no; Keynesian economics were so successful in Nazi Germany that they only had to control the industries and the banks, redo the currency, loot billions in bullion and investments from Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and France, import hundreds of thousands of slave laborers, and harvest down to the gold fillings of Jews in order to keep their economy functional.

What that example proves is that Keynesian economics “work” when the government owns and controls everything, can mandate what everyone does, and can essentially steal from anyone it chooses. Here in the real world, an interesting nugget of fact has been turned up:

Top Obama economic adviser Christina Romer has studied 20th-century recessions and concluded that monetary tools, not fiscal spending, produced recoveries. Even in the Great Depression, monetary expansion, not FDR’s public works, opened the way toward recovery beginning in the spring of 1933.

But wait, there’s more:

They are also betting on the fact that a package divided between $550 billion in spending and $275 billion in tax cuts will be the right mix, even though Romer’s research also shows tax cuts to have a larger multiplier effect on the economy than spending.

Gee, I wonder why? Is it because tax cuts reward those who are doing things that generate taxes, like working and operating businesses, while government spending just rewards welfare addicts like Obama’s Auntie Zeituni, the criminal illegal immigrant who receives free healthcare, cheap housing, a no-show job, and fat welfare checks at the expense of other working taxpayers?
