If these were Newt’s Numbers, They’d Be on Page One
An easily overlooked headline on page A4 of today’s Washington Post: “Approval Ratings for Pelosi Hit a New Low.”
If current trends continue, it will seem that Newt Gingrich was a paragon of popularity during his tenure as Speaker of the House.

Are you kidding? Mr. Newt was a paragon of popularity, virtue AND statesmanship as opposed to the Botox Queen.

Newt had some despicable behavior in his private life (albeit overblown by the leftist hate machine), and a tendency to spout ideas without thinking them through. Still, the intellectual difference between Newt and Nan is the difference between the Space Shuttle and the Short Bus.

So much was made over the fact that she was the first woman speaker. She doesn’t inspire much confidence in voting for another.

#4 – TGC, insert the words “black president” instead of “woman speaker” and you have our current crisis in a nutshell.

While the nationwide polls are encouraging, the problem remains that her district still will continue to vote for her reelection.Unfortunately, she will probably remain in office.

Well, with any luck, the folks here in Nevada will wise up and vote her compatriot in the senate, that clown Harry Reid out of office in 2010.

Actually, Man, I can think of no better fate for Pelosi than being forced to serve in a Congress in which she’s stripped of power and completely radioactive to her own party.

Fair enough, NDT. But I think your comment calls for full disclosure: you live in San Francisco. If Pelosi remains in Congress, that will keep her approximately (and blissfully) 3000 miles away from YOU for most of the year. Hmmmmm, won’t that be convenient for you?
You don’t fool me, NDT. I know your game.
