Ignant, you’ve voluntarily aligned yourself with people that express outrage when a politician “murders” a fly, make speeches on the floor of the House in defense of the environment at the expense of humans being slaughtered with biological weapons, cry “racism!” in response to the word “niggardly” even after they learn the definition, think genocidal tyrants who hang gays can be talked out of building nuclear weapons, insist that the US invaded Iraq “unilaterally” (even though 45 other nations had troops on the ground), insist that Bush “stole” the 2000 election in the face of irrefutable evidence to the contrary, and believe that otherwise law-abiding peaceful Muslims “become” terrorists in reaction to America’s treatment of the Muslim world.

So, YES, Ignant. You DO have to clearly announce when you are being sarcastic because your balloon comment wasn’t half as nutty as the things liberals say when they’re being deadly serious.

P.S. This reminds me of the early 90s when Nancy Pelosi was just a freshman Representative in the House–after the overwhelming vote in favor of Desert Storm, Pelosi went on the record in a speech calling for the US to proceed with caution because of the threat our military intervention posed to the delicate ecological balance in Kuwait. Seriously, she was more concerned about the environmental impact of a US military operation in Kuwait than with the human lives being slaughtered by Saddam with biological (and other) weapons.
