Wonder if Young People Are Beginning to Regret their Enthusiasm for Obama
Approximately two-thirds of voters under 30 voted for Barack Obama in last year’s presidential contest–and it’s they who seem to be bearing the brunt of the lousy job market–which has gotten worse even after he passed his spendy “stimulus” designed, in large parat, to impove that market. Recent college graduates just aren’t finding jobs which fit their qualifications.

Recent college grads and young people BELIEVE in Obama. They have faith in him. If they believe in him enough, and vote for him and his followers, then salvation will come and the world will be changed to the one they hope for. This is what happens when you destroy the intelligence and morality of young people- they vote Democrat. The good thing is, they are also very lazy, so their support isn’t really that important in the bigger scheme of things.

Could we be seeing the rebirth of young conservatives as we did in the 1980’s???

Actually, you misquoted the study (I know it’s hard when the original story is 4 links away, and you never do link to the actual data, only other right-wing “summaries”), but the actual problem cited was the number of degree-holding workers in jobs that required a college degree has taken a dip since last year. Rule #1 of blaming Obama – get the actual data right. Nah, I’m just kidding; I know you’ll blame him anyway. I wonder if Obama caused Ensign’s scandal just like he caused Sanford’s, according to the head of the GOP.
Since the stimulus was designed to act not overnight but over a longer-term (it was a feature, not a bug, to stimulate over time, as we were mostly likely facing a L-shaped recession and not a v-shaped one), and since public opinion polls showed no expectation that the economy should recover so quickly lest it be Obama’s fault, AND you haven’t proved that Obama did or did not do anything that caused or would have fixed the issue so quickly… I’m thinking no, they don’t regret it. At least, not as much as they regret having the GOP be in charge long enough to cause the problem.
Thanks for playing though!

Um, torrent, if the “stimulus” wasn’t designed to act overnight, how come unemployment now is higher than the Administration claimed it would be if it passed?
So, please defend Obama without criticizing Bush or the GOP. Remember, his team claimed that the “stimulus” would prevent unemployment from spiking.

No, no silly! That’s the big, bad Bush’s fault just like the war for oil, deforestation, and the cancellation of Bonanza!

I think it’s the cynicism and unemployment. Don’t we often say a conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged by reality?
STRS Ohio just announced their 2010 insurance bids, many of my coworkers are worried for their jobs. (I expect many evil looks when I go back to work monday) OPERS is looking at their entire pension system may go fwoom with Ohio’s debt and Gov. Strickland trying to make a stand for fisical restraint. (Yes, I’m supporting a Democrat, Pat, try not to faint.)
So the old, the young and the middle class are all feeling the hope and change. but hey, we still have BNL to give us the same talking point over and over and over.

Since MSM isn’t out there pointing out that it is BHO who is now responsible for our economy they won’t be blaming him any time soon.

The younger set is surely feeling some pain (at least those who don’t have indulgent boomer parents who let them party-on at home until they’re in their 30s) but they’re not educated enough (as in real world) to know the source of the pain.
Come 10-20 years from now – they may finally come to regret what they voted for. (Or maybe not – people have such short memories.).

It was only 60 days ago and torrentprime and the liberals are already trying to rewrite history. Obamateleprompter had to have a vote on the stimulus on FRIDAY because it was too important and critical to wait to vote on the following MONDAY. Legislators couldn’t take the time to actually read about all the pork in the bill, they had to pass it now! Lying misrepresenting gang of crooks. Obama said they were “shovel ready ” jobs and that liberal mayors and governors had they jobs ready to go. Liars. Creeps, crooks and boobs. I wasn’t fooled. Who was?
