Can we get Krugman on record supporting the death penalty for the 212 Representatives who opposed the climate change bill? Because I personally favor the death penalty for the Times editors who exposed Bush’s warrantless wiretapping efforts.

This is a financial program on CNBC, but kinda relevant because at 6:15 or so, all six guys agree there is no Global Warming - the Earth has been cooling the past ten years - and that Obama's bill sux ass: http://www.europac.net/Schiff-CNBC-6-26-09_lg_FLV.asp

Their agreement proves nothing of course - you have to go to the science, to prove anything - but it's nice to see the word is starting to spread!

"Treason against the planet"... What a crunchy, nutty phrase that is. Aside from the fact that AGW (Anthropogenic Warming) "science" is mostly junk science, making AGW a myth... isn't treason something that one commits against a supreme value such as human freedom, God, family or country? I could see Krugman placing his nutty idea of "the planet" above maybe one or two of those things... but all 4?

It contiunually astounds me that the MSM thinks that any Nobel laureate is therefor qualified to speak on <b>ANY topic with authority</b>...especially the ones outside of their actual speciality.

<i>"By having integrated economies of scale into explicit general equilibrium models, Paul Krugman has deepened our understanding of the determinants of trade and the location of economic activity."</i> - Wikipedia

And this relates to trade policy how....?

Damn it! Alert Lord Zathorn and tell him the humans are onto us. We may have to postpone the invasion!

I think Krugman may have seen the movie 'The Arrival' a few too many times; the movie where Global Warming was an alien plot to wipe out humanity so they could take over the planet.

<strike>Cartman</strike> Krugman gets an anal probe!

Climate change zealots are a cult... next thing you know, they'll be speaking in tongues (like Al Gore).

My bet is that Krugman lives pretty well - all the creature comforts that accompany wealthy, pious liberals. Krugman is just frustrated that we proles just don't know our place.

I hope the NYT employs Krugman to write his columns right up until the moment he falls into his grave because he is a wonderfully potent cautionary tale that graphically illustrates the twisted, reptilian mutations that result from overexposure to the vile, infectious poison of liberalism. To see this, all you have to do is (Step 1) read Krugman's column about the cap and trade bill passing in the House. Then, (Step 2) remember that Krugman is AN ECONOMIST. Krugman spends 90% of the column seething and ranting about the insanity of the "deniers" and their contemptible "treason against the planet" for refusing to capitulate to the irrefutable, incontrovertible science of global warming. It is not an exaggeration that his tone is of the variety that normal people use to discuss Nazis and child rapists. The ONLY reference Krugman makes to the ECONOMICS of the cap and trade bill is nothing more than another expression of his disgust for anyone who entertains even a scintilla of skepticism about man-made climate change:

"Given this contempt for hard science, I’m almost reluctant to mention the deniers’ dishonesty on matters economic. But in addition to rejecting climate science, the opponents of the climate bill made a point of misrepresenting the results of studies of the bill’s economic impact, which all suggest that the cost will be relatively low."

That's right. The fact that anyone would commit the unspeakable heresy of doubting the Left's foundational spiritual doctrine has Krugman in such a convulsive tizzy that this ECONOMIST can barely summon the strength to discuss the ECONOMICS of the "energy bill," but if he must, this ECONOMIST states the (dare I say, dubious?) conclusion that the cost of cap and trade will be "relatively low." Krugman, an ECONOMIST, then goes right back to his histrionic ranting about the coming environmental apocalypse.

This is what liberalism does to people. It causes people to categorically reject the objective certainties and established axioms of their chosen fields in favor of collective, hysterical delusions to the point that their rhetoric becomes virtually indistinguishable from the angry mutterings of the street corner derelicts that we cross the street to avoid. (Side note: try not to pee yourself laughing, but Krugman actually published a book titled, "The Conscience of a Liberal"--and no, shockingly it was NOT pamphlet-sized.) So, to the NYT I say, "GIVE US MORE!!!!!" The best advice you can possibly give to anyone you care about that is dabbling with liberalism is: read Krugman. They'll start reading his column believing that it contains the wisdom of a Nobel Prize winning economist and once they've finished they wouldn't trust the loon to make change for the parking meter.

Oh man, Krugman is on to us now. I'm tempted to unleash the Brain Slugs to slither up Krugman's nostrils and liquify his gray matter, but, having read Saint Paulie's columns, it's clear his cerebellum morphed into yellow matter custard a long time ago.

Then again, all this probably explains why the Krugster was awarded a Nobel Prize for Economics. Only damn fools, intellectuals, and Nobel committee members could uncritically accept the templated Scheisse dished out by Krugman on a weekly basis.
