Happy Fourth of July
Happy Independence Day! Do yourself a favor and read the Declaration of Independence out loud to your family and friends.
PatriotPartner and I will be attending the Charlotte Tea Party between 11am and 3pm. I’ll try to blog or live-tweet from the event.
Follow me on Twitter for updates on the Charlotte Tea Party.
UPDATE: We have about 2,500 strong here in Charlotte on a beautiful July 4th in the Queen City.

I don’t know how many people tie the Declaration of Independence to mathematics. In a logic class, I explain how the DofI consists of three parts:
1) A implies B
2) A
therefore
3) B
where B, of course, stands for independence. The three steps are an example of a consistent argument.
Anyway, it gives me a chance of saying that the DofI is a document that says more than “Yeah, we want independence,” and hopefully encourages some to actually read it.

Just returned from our TEA Party in Lancaster SC. It was 450 strong.
We did hear the Declaration of Independence read and everything that BO is doing goes completely against it.

Happy Independence Day to all Americans, and my deepest condolences to all liberals, I know this is a day of great grief and mourning for you, since the concept of independence of any kind is abhorrent to you, not to mention all the flag waving and love of country on display.

Speaking of which, ours is one of only three houses in my neighborhood with the flag on display. At least on the route I take coming or going.
Need to get a spotlight for it.

get an enormous flag and put it on a huge pole, THEN spotlight it. That always drives em nuts!

Wasn’t it Ronald Reagan who once said: “Republicans see every day as July 4th. Democrats see every day as April 15th.” ?
